I'm typing this review literally 5 minutes after I just got done eating. Tonight I decided to try out this spot. I've driven by this place hundreds of times and got hungry and trying to figure out what to eat. I was craving Chinese but since its Sunday, most were closed for the day and i wasn't in the mood for fast food burger. I got the half chicken with two sides being fries and fried rice. The total came out to $15.57 after taxes. The food was good. The chicken was full of flavor and very tender. The sides were good as well. The fried rice had chicken pieces in it. When I walked in shortly after 9pm I was the only customer in there. The place is very well lit and clean. The workers were nice. I just had to wait a couple minutes for my fries to cook but got my food in about 5 minutes. They also give the green and white sauce with the chicken. They gave me 2 of each which was plenty unlike some Peruvian chicken spots that only give 1 of each. I will say, even tho the chicken tasted like Peruvian style chicken, I dont believe the owners are Peruvian. There were 3 guys in the kitchen who looked to be from Bangladesh or Nepal and not a single Hispanic considering it's a Peruvian restaurant. My guess is the same owners of Americas best wings are the same owners of this restaurant. If you ever been to Americas best wings you'll know the type of employees that work there. I have no problem with people from Bangladesh or Nepal. I've worked with them in the past and they're some of the nicest and hard working people I've met. The other reason why I feel it's the same owners is cause when you walk in, it gives the same vibe as Americas best wings, from the menu boards, to the employees to the type of food they offer and the atmosphere of the restaurant. I will say overall the food is very good and I will definitely return to try something else on their menu. The price is a little high but like everything, price is going up. For what you pay for, it's much better quality than McDonald's, burger king or Wendy's. You're almost spending the same amount at those fast food spots, might as well get something of...
Read moreAfter reading, not one but TWO bad reviews about the exact same wrongfully served taco, I HAD to see by myself how wrong they could take my order. Imagine my surprise when I walked into the place and saw that the food is served right in front of you. It's literally like complaining at Subway for getting the wrong sandwich that was served in front of your eyes.
I endulged myself with half a chicken, white rice (cilantro rice for those who got here because of the Peruvian part), and black beans. If you fell in love with Peruvian chicken somewhere else and you going through these reviews trying to find if it will hit home, yes, look no further! I got all ll the flavors I was looking for.
As I said, everything is served right in front of you, so it's a pretty straight forward experience that customer service doesn't take a heavy part of it as it would be in a sit and order restaurant. They were nice enough not to say anything negative about them.
I'm definitely coming back to try some of their other options, the pictures of the gyros and both the chicken and beef stews looked good enough like for me to try them.
Only advice I would give is to, maybe, pay attention to when they're serving your food or when you pick it up, so you don't end up giving a bad review for not...
Read moreStopped by for chicken after a friend recommended it and I'm so glad she did. I opted for the whole bird and was pleasantly surprised that it was served already cut into quarters (time saver for me). And honestly, the aroma in my car made it hard for me not to drive home faster. lol
Usually, the takeout chicken I've gotten elsewhere looks or smells delicious but the meat itself is bland. Not theirs! Whatever spices and seasonings they used permeated the chicken, so it was yummy from the first bite to the last!!
On top of that, the man who boxed up and served me my chicken was so sweet. I didn’t realize at first that he was talking to me because he was speaking in Spanish. After I explained that I only know a little Spanish, we had a nice chat in English. So between the tasty food and good service, I'm already looking forward to visiting them again. My problem will be deciding whether to order the chicken as a combo the next time or try one of their "Peruvian Specialties" or stews. ...
