Impressions — Local services in Hopewell

Being from out of town I was referred to this location. I went in this location last Saturday to get a hair cut. When I walked in I was not greeted by anyone. I noticed two sign in sheets on a display case and asked which one to use. A customer explained to me about the two side of the shop. What’s said is later I learned the two meet standing beside me looking at me were barbers there. Neither addressed me in any manner. I sat down and wait about 40 mins with no one greeting me or giving me a time frame. I could see if there was only one barber in the shop however this wasn’t the case. At one time they had 4 barbers in the left side and 1 on the right side. Many people came in and walked straight back to their barber and asked can you get me in today and was was placed in the chair right away. I know taking care of your own customer base is always important to a barber. However you need a balance. With 5 barbers in the shop their is no excuse for no one greeting a customer or checking on them. I’m here for 6 weeks and get a hair cut ever week to a week in a half. This shop will not be a recommendation for anyone not already established with a barber at this location. After my wait I left and just found another local place that was more welcoming and...

There are located in the Food Lion business plaza and between the dollar store and dry cleaners. I like to keep the money local so I prefer small shops over chains.

They weren't listed on Yelp so I created this page. Hopefully we can drive more traffic to this business. I walk by everyday on my way to the grocery store and they always fairly busy.

The shop is divided in to the Barber's on the left and salon on the right. For a clipper cut and fade it was $20, not too bad and a fair price in my opinion. I showed up to work the next day with a fresh cut. Will definately go back.

I just got a haircut from here and explicitly told the barber to leave the new growth in front of my hairline alone so it could be twisted to my locs (I have dreadlocks on the top of my head but keep the sides and back faded). He then proceeded to give me one of the worst lineups of my life and cut so far back that he's cut half of the hair connected to one of my locs at the root.
