Food Lion — Local services in Hopewell

I usually don’t come to this store but needed a few items since my daughter had surgery today and now I know why. While waiting in the I believe it was the 15 item or less lane a customer in front of me had what I would guess was 100+ items and put approx. half her basket on the belt when the cashier explained that it was not a full service lane to where the customer pretty much verbally abuse the poor older cashier ex. this store is busy so don’t tell me I can’t go in this lane because I can etc. Cashier then called manager over who agreed that the customer should stay in that lane which then made the customers behind her wait including myself when I could have been in and out. This manager should have taken her employees side because now anyone can do as they like in this store and treat employees disrespectful and no one cares which is definitely isn’t a way to run a business. Something needs to change! The cashier needs a metal for putting up with as much as she did until the manager sent...

It seems like every time I have gone for groceries. The next day or two days after using an item to cook for my dinner, the product has been moldy or smelly or the meat is smelly! I go from the grocery to my home which is like 5 minutes from the store. so it's not like items have sat there to say they'd have this issue. This has happened countless of times with there milk, lettuces, meats, veggies and potatoes. I have to throw out milk every single time I buy it from here and it's either three days after or it has expired way before the expiration date on the milk. And I get fat free milk because it has a longer exp. Date. But it don't last. It's been upsetting. And there are not too many grocery stores that are close to me. If I can be contacted I want someone to contact me with this issue to some how get it resolved. This is upsetting at times when...

Edit: You have dropped one star, I hope you can accept that and strive for better. I came for a few goods and I’m fine with that. I got a strong pain in my tummy alerting me that it was time to eat. I look up and think ‘chicken wings sound dandy, go grab a bag’. Well yens now have a “Wing Bar” and this repulses me. What if a bratty child sneezes in my food!? What if someone touches my chicken wing!? What if they dry out, go bad, have flies, bacteria, you name it! Not only all those repulsive things but how about being picked over!
