The prices seemed fair and the menu offers interesting and tempting to try out but on day I was there in this restaurant it was hot and crowded and the wait time was to long and placed smelled like body sweat.when I was waiting for my order I noticed the food preparer never washed his hands or changed his gloves between taking out garbage and cleaning counter top off he went back into preparing orders and my order was still in progress to be made with nasty gloved hands. Although I was quite hungry and running out of food options that evening I DECIDED TO cancel my order after seeing this on the front line what else is being done there that's unsanitary as well. I was shocked how many customer's we're still waiting for there orders not seeing this. It was a big risk for food poisoning not worth it no matter howvgood food is or price if seriously ill. It makes think about how many other restaurants are cutting corners this way putting everyone at risk for serious illness hopefully not very many. I posted this so that it May help with change.foodpoisong is not fun to go through can cause...
Read moreGot barbacoa torta and tres leches cake. Really mediocre. The bland meat was drowned out by the lettuce and avocado. It basically tasted like a salad sandwich. Bread seemed like it'd've been good originally, but mine was definitely stale to the point of crunchy in places, but it didn't seem toasted. So the bread was either old or they did a bad job toasting it.
The tres leches cake was disappointing. I've had regular cake that's more moist. Dry is the wrong word, but it definitely felt more like dos leches.
The place is well reviewed so maybe I just ordered the wrong stuff, but the menu's big enough that they can afford to drop the dishes they aren't interested in making well.
IDK, I'd round up to 2.5 if I could, but I'm not willing to give it a 3. I didn't stop eating it immediately, but I definitely didn't finish despite being still hungry. The fries were actually really really good, but it's a Mexican restaurant, who's...
Read moreI got the nachos at Nachos for takeout. I figure if you name yourself Nachos, the nachos should probably be pretty good. I got them with no meat or sour cream. I was not disappointed. Nachos were chock full of fresh ingredients, generous amount of guacamole, and the nachos stayed crisp and crunchy the whole time. I do wish the no meat option was cheaper though since I'm getting less stuff.
The atmosphere was festive with the sound of the kitchen and Latin music generating a quaint ambiance. The format is order from the counter, and wait was minimal even though they were taking a lot of phone and online orders.
I'll be back to try more.
Update: 2/22/22. Went back for tacos for the most epic Taco Two'sDay ever. Nachos did not disappoint. The no meat tacos come with rice, black beans, Pico, onion, cilantro, lettuce, and sliced avocado, a green salsa/ sauce and lime. Holy moly, the ingredients are so fresh and bursting with...
