Jersey Mike’s is usually my go-to spot for a great sandwich, but my recent visit was disappointing. When my boyfriend and I walked in, we weren’t greeted—just met with blank stares. I understand staff can be busy, but even after waiting in line, the employee taking orders walked away without acknowledging us, leaving us standing there awkwardly.
When we were finally addressed, we weren’t welcomed or asked how we were doing—just abruptly asked what we wanted. We ordered a Club Sub, but before we could finish, the employee rudely interrupted and told us to tell the next person our toppings. Once we got to the toppings station, no one asked us what we wanted; we were only asked if we wanted it “Mike’s Way.” I said yes, but specified no tomatoes.
While paying, we noticed tomatoes were being added anyway. I politely reminded the employee about my request, and she yanked the tomatoes off both sandwiches—leaving behind juice and seeds, which we had specifically asked to avoid.
As this was happening, the cashier raised his voice to ask if we wanted a receipt because we didn’t hear him the first time—likely due to being distracted by the other issue. When we finally received our sandwiches, they were missing bacon and mayo, despite us clearly ordering the Club Sub.
The service was poor, the staff seemed untrained on how to prepare the menu items correctly, and the sandwiches were not up to the usual Jersey Mike’s standard. It was an unfortunate and disappointing experience, and I truly hope the service at this...
Read moreWe typically love Jersey Mike's so while travelling we decided to stop at this location for supper. It was a few minutes before 8pm when we walked in (they close at 9:00). We placed our order and waited for it to be made... all the while the young woman who seemed to be in charge was telling the other workers to go ahead and start putting away the meats and take the phone off the hook to prepare for closing (an hour away). I asked if we were there too late and she just said that they always pack up around this time. I didnt think much more about it until all the employees started gathering at the cash register to divide up tips which ended up taking quite awhile. Then they were sidetracked and couldn't keep our order straight because they were so busy trying to leave. On top of this, my daughter's meatballs were taken from the refrigerator but apparently not heated because they were still cold and the cheese wasn't even melted. My daughter said the sandwich didn't taste right and made her feel sick (We were already gone when we realized this and didn't have time to go back.) I don't know if this is commonplace at this Jersey Mike's or not but I hope the management will look into this issue before they start getting a bad reputation. I do want to add that the workers were friendly- they just needed some adult...
Read moreI went there to both get food and take someone to an interview. Firstly the food is okay- it's $10 for half a sandwich. But the way the store is set up or the way the workers work the line makes it so confusing to check out and had multiple people go before me after I had been waiting in line for a good while. The girls behind the counter came off as rude and judgmental.
For the interview my friend did- he was told to wait around 20 mins after his interview was supposed to start when he was told to come in at a specific time only to be confronted with "what are you looking for?" Which came off entirely rude considering someone has been waiting on you and you come off extremely irritated and dont care about the interview at all. All for her to say they already hired 5 people who they need to train and they'll call him if they ever need him. The interview was a waste of time, money, and work. I wish this place would hold themselves a bit more professional.
Overall the food was mid and expensive, the workers were rude and the hiring manager loves to waste other...
