The wait was outrageous, over 30 mins to get 2 combos, the lobby was kinda full but it wasn’t the amount of guest,it was the energy with which everyone one was working. A little sense of urgency goes a long way, it seemed the workers were moving slow on purpose. Like that’s my only explanation, for moving that slow while working. The one passing out the orders did provide his name and said let me know if you need anything, I really wanted to say, bro I need you to move faster!! First time here and the service and overall vibe was very disappointing. I do want to say the chicken and food were great. Did try the reaper hot level on my second meal and it was not eatable. But that was on me, after signing the agreement and all I should have known. But overall a sour experience for the lack of sense of urgency and the overall not caring about anything but merely doing bare minimum while working. If you look for quiet quitting on the internet, a picture of all these workers comes out. As a food enthusiast I was happy to see they had these in El Paso, but after this experience I hope they never come to West Texas. It would be a waste of time. Chicken sandwiches were great, fries and everything else was mid.

I must tell you, it was my first time and probably my last time going to Dave’s Hot Chicken. The people are great, management on duty are very kind and attentive. I wish I would have taken the time to ask more about the level of 🄵 hotness. I ordered Hot. Not mild and not medium. I feel Hot was right in the middle and should be ok. Boy was I wrong….. I got through the sandwich with Kale Slaw. I like the flavor and it tasted good. But the heat was building. I started in on the fries and those had spice on them. Man, by the time I got to the tender. I got two bites and had to stop eating. I left 3/4 my fries, all my pickles and have most of that tender in the To go container. I was hurting: In belly. Nose was running. Eyes are watering and my finger tips were covered in the deep red spices. I developed hiccups and stomach aches over the next half hour. I must tell you. I had to stop off at What a Burger and got a vanilla milkshake. Maybe Dave’s can add that to the menu. I took the rest of the day off work. I’m not sure if I got the wrong order or if my idea of Hot is off. Sorry Dave’s Hot Chicken. I don’t think I’ll be back.

I've been wanting to try this place since they opened and it is well worth it! Daves sauce, the chicken sliders, the fries, and milk shakes are all very good! Do expect to pay over $30 for just 2 people. It is a bit on the pricier side since for $30 you can feed 4-6 people at mcdonalds. However the quality of the chicken at daves justified the price. Now I ordered the extra hot and it was extra extra hot! I have a high tolerance for spicy food and it was pretty spicy. Forget the reaper sauce, you have to sign a waver for it. I would stay between mild and hot just to be able to enjoy the chicken. I waited about 15 minutes to get my food which is a good time frame considering the amount of people there. Inside theres not many tables. Its all mainly outside. No drive thru, so you have to get off. The staff is really nice and they don't cheap out at giving you extra condiments unlike many other places. I will be back soon!

Dave’s Hot Chicken has quickly established itself as a must-visit spot for anyone craving Nashville-style hot chicken. Glad that it has finally arrived to EPTX. The moment you step inside, you’re greeted by EPTX’s graffiti art work indicative of its culture.

The menu is straightforward yet enticing, featuring a selection of chicken tenders and sandwiches, each customizable with varying heat levels from "No Spice" to "Reaper." The beauty of the heat levels is that they cater to all taste preferences, ensuring everyone can find their perfect bite.

I opted for the number3 mild, and it did not disappoint. The chicken was perfectly cooked, juicy, and coated in a crispy, flavorful batter that delivered a satisfying crunch with every bite. The spice blend was well-balanced, providing a kick that lingered without overwhelming the palate. Accompanied by pickles and slaw, the sandwich was a delightful combination of heat and freshness.

The seasoned fries are a standout, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, making them the perfect companion to the chicken. And the cheese topping was a perfect marriage to the chicken.

Service at Dave’s Hot Chicken was exceptional. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable, ready to offer recommendations based on spice tolerance and preferences.

In conclusion, Dave’s Hot Chicken excels in delivering a delicious, authentic hot chicken experience that keeps you coming back for more. Whether you’re a spice aficionado or a newcomer, this place is sure to satisfy your cravings. Don’t miss out on this...

My food is always on time and accurate. It’s always easy to tell which strip is which heat level so the organization is a big plus for me. The tenders have always been on the larger side so the cost is justified in my opinion. I tried Dave’s in LA and I’m happy to see the consistency and quality have been maintained. I love Dave’s and I go there twice a week sometimes three when those cravings hit. With that in mind I’d like to remind you they are just tenders. They do what they do VERY well but don’t go in expecting this magical jaw-dropping experience because that’s setting you up for failure. The chicken is moist, the bread is awesome, the pickles are just the right hint of vinegar and crunch, the slaw pairs perfectly with the spice to reach some beautiful balance, and the sauce just compliments it all. If you like spice this is the chicken place for you. For people unsure of their heat tolerance I’d recommend to start with medium. Hot is spicy for most people I’ve gone with. Dave’s gets a 10/10 from me.

Side note: Dave’s NOT Chicken is also AMAZING. This is what surprised me the most. Before it came here I would always order chicken because I didn’t want to risk it but that cauliflower is the best cauliflower I’ve ever had. I’d highly recommend. Try the bites if you want a ā€œsoft launchā€ before committing to a whole...
