Daveās Hot Chicken has quickly established itself as a must-visit spot for anyone craving Nashville-style hot chicken. Glad that it has finally arrived to EPTX. The moment you step inside, youāre greeted by EPTXās graffiti art work indicative of its culture.
The menu is straightforward yet enticing, featuring a selection of chicken tenders and sandwiches, each customizable with varying heat levels from "No Spice" to "Reaper." The beauty of the heat levels is that they cater to all taste preferences, ensuring everyone can find their perfect bite.
I opted for the number3 mild, and it did not disappoint. The chicken was perfectly cooked, juicy, and coated in a crispy, flavorful batter that delivered a satisfying crunch with every bite. The spice blend was well-balanced, providing a kick that lingered without overwhelming the palate. Accompanied by pickles and slaw, the sandwich was a delightful combination of heat and freshness.
The seasoned fries are a standout, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, making them the perfect companion to the chicken. And the cheese topping was a perfect marriage to the chicken.
Service at Daveās Hot Chicken was exceptional. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable, ready to offer recommendations based on spice tolerance and preferences.
In conclusion, Daveās Hot Chicken excels in delivering a delicious, authentic hot chicken experience that keeps you coming back for more. Whether youāre a spice aficionado or a newcomer, this place is sure to satisfy your cravings. Donāt miss out on this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy food is always on time and accurate. Itās always easy to tell which strip is which heat level so the organization is a big plus for me. The tenders have always been on the larger side so the cost is justified in my opinion. I tried Daveās in LA and Iām happy to see the consistency and quality have been maintained. I love Daveās and I go there twice a week sometimes three when those cravings hit. With that in mind Iād like to remind you they are just tenders. They do what they do VERY well but donāt go in expecting this magical jaw-dropping experience because thatās setting you up for failure. The chicken is moist, the bread is awesome, the pickles are just the right hint of vinegar and crunch, the slaw pairs perfectly with the spice to reach some beautiful balance, and the sauce just compliments it all. If you like spice this is the chicken place for you. For people unsure of their heat tolerance Iād recommend to start with medium. Hot is spicy for most people Iāve gone with. Daveās gets a 10/10 from me.
Side note: Daveās NOT Chicken is also AMAZING. This is what surprised me the most. Before it came here I would always order chicken because I didnāt want to risk it but that cauliflower is the best cauliflower Iāve ever had. Iād highly recommend. Try the bites if you want a āsoft launchā before committing to a whole...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe wait was outrageous, over 30 mins to get 2 combos, the lobby was kinda full but it wasnāt the amount of guest,it was the energy with which everyone one was working. A little sense of urgency goes a long way, it seemed the workers were moving slow on purpose. Like thatās my only explanation, for moving that slow while working. The one passing out the orders did provide his name and said let me know if you need anything, I really wanted to say, bro I need you to move faster!! First time here and the service and overall vibe was very disappointing. I do want to say the chicken and food were great. Did try the reaper hot level on my second meal and it was not eatable. But that was on me, after signing the agreement and all I should have known. But overall a sour experience for the lack of sense of urgency and the overall not caring about anything but merely doing bare minimum while working. If you look for quiet quitting on the internet, a picture of all these workers comes out. As a food enthusiast I was happy to see they had these in El Paso, but after this experience I hope they never come to West Texas. It would be a waste of time. Chicken sandwiches were great, fries and everything...
