Al's Wings and Things Goodman Rd — Restaurant in Horn Lake

I tried Al’s for the first time last night. The reviews were contradicting, so I decided to give it a try myself. I attempted to call an order in and the phone number just wouldn’t work. So I drove there, placed an order, and waited inside. The lady at the counters demeanor is just as everyone else says, not welcoming at all. She had a very serious look on her face as if she had a bad attitude and didn’t want to be there and she answered people’s question short and unconcerned. However, she was never rude to me so it didn’t bother me much. While waiting, there was lots and lots of people coming in placing orders and door dashers picking up orders. All she kept saying to everyone was “it ain’t ready yet.” I waited like an hour before my food was ready it was ridiculous but the food was hot and fresh. I ordered a buffalo chicken egg roll (that I ate in the car on the way home) lol it was good but not the absolute best that I’ve had. I also ordered a 5pc wing combo hot ranch flavored. The sauce on the wings was really good. The wings just weren’t cooked enough for my liking. The skin on them was still soft and chewy and I prefer a crispier more cooked wing. Fries were seasoned well. So overall, I give them 2/5 stars for no working phone, the hour wait, no communication or concern from staff, and the wings not being cooked enough. I would still give them another try if I had an hour to spare and I just would ask that the chicken be...

June 08,2019 between 2:30pm and 3:15pm my husband placed and order for 10 honey gold part wings only for $8.99 + tax . We took a set in a booth across from each other to wait on his order .We both were viewing our cell phones when I looked up to see who was coming through the open back door of the kitchen. There was a man outside doing something and the tall slim man who was wearing a blue T shirt that had the word ( RESPECT) above a picture of the late Aretha Franklin was standing in the back door of the kitchen looking out and Blowing his nose with the gloves he had on after dropping the chicken for deep frying I bought it to my husband ATTENTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He got up ask walked over to the counter and the man could he speak with him. He came from the kitchen with the same gloves on he used to handle the chicken and blow his noise with and stood and said yea . My husband said not mean.my wife said she saw you blow your noise with those gloves on the same ones you use to handle my food . GOD BLESS THE MAN SOUL BECAUSE HE DID KEEP IT REAL. He could have lied He just said yea I did so what I use tissue. This will literally be my second time ordering from Duffies and honestly, it may be my last. See you hear so much about how people don’t support one another but when you do, experiences are not pleasurable ones. Both experiences which again was my family very first, it was not good. Each time we placed an order over the phone (never have gone there; heard about Duffies from a love one) my boyfriend and I have gain from Duffies on a scale 1-5, it would honestly be a “ 2” if not, a “1” because of customer service along. It’s not cool doing business with people when they seem to come out as impatient and rude but then want others to support them. It’s important for all of us to be respectful especially when our expectation is to grow. You have to learn no matter how busy you are and even how you feel to remember to treat people the way you would like to be treated or in this situation, how you would like for your company to be viewed.
