This was literally the worst Golden Corral we have ever been to. My husband and I travel the country—one week in Atlanta, the next week in New York.
We go back and forth across the country. We're truck drivers, and we enjoy stopping at Golden Corral when we want a variety of food to choose from.
When we arrived at this Golden Corral, there was a bus full of dancers. There had to be at least 40 children and about 10 adults.
There were only two people ahead of my husband and me, but we waited for nearly 20 minutes while the cashier put forks in tiny bags. One of the servers approached him, asking if he needed help. He said yes, and she replied, "Sike, I'm just kidding." That was the the equivalent of "It's not my job," as she walked away.
When we finally paid over $40 for two meals, we found our seats but were immediately told we could not sit there because of the huge bus full of people.
As I walked to our seat, I looked at the food in the serving bins, and most of the bins were empty. It was about 5:15 p.m. on a Saturday.
The only thing I could really get was a salad, and as I write this review hours later, I keep belching and tasting eggs, which is a sign of a sour stomach.
After my salad, I attempted to find other things to eat, but unfortunately, most of the food trays were empty or the food just tasted awful
I ordered a piece of steak cooked medium rare, but for some reason, it tasted like blood—a bloody piece of meat. It lacked good seasoning or flavor. I took one bite of the steak and spit it out.
The only thing my husband and I really enjoyed was our waitress coming to our table and praying over our dinner and us. We are Christians; we love the Lord, and that was the best thing about this Golden Corral.

GM-Kevin does nothing to resolve the issues as my family and I have had several issues with family meals that we’ve paid for online. On two different occasions upon arrival to pick up orders they’ve been disasters to say the least. The 1st time I basically had to return twice to the restaurant after checking the order in the parking lot. This 2nd time was on Sunday and the food was deplorable and disgusting. We ordered the family meal with fried fish but the fish was barely fried and falling apart, we got 1 roll with the family meal and no tartar sauce which all the specifics were added to the order online. I’m not understanding. We reached out to General Manager Kevin and he says” I will replace your order and here is my cell # so text me the day you would like to pick up the replacement order and I will prepare it myself” My daughter sent Kevin a text message on yesterday and we still have not heard anything from him. No response at all. That’s ok because we don’t want anything else from this place. As a business owner myself I don’t understand the lack of communication and/or customer service. This is a prime example of allowing the wrong people manage a business and absolutely destroy it. There are too many employees standing around but no one has a clue of what’s going on. The place could use a thorough cleaning as well which I didn’t realize until having to go in and get the order. If I could I would have given this restaurant a 0. Restaurant going down the drain. My family and I will take our business where we are appreciated....
Read moreNot enough staff. Tables piled high with plates wasted food and glasses. Incoming people were clearing tables so they could have a place to sit. People would gather and wait on plates. It appeared that so many plates were out sitting on tables that they did not have enough to wash and put out. A lot of the plates brought out as clean were still filthy. People would stack the nasty plates on the plate stand. Watching the plate stand nearly half of the plates were sent back to be washed again. I honestly think that if the health department had inspected the men's restroom they would have shut the place down it was that nasty. When we cleared us a table cleaned it and finally got food, I had to track down silverware and about 15 minutes later I went and got all 4 of us drinks. They have very limited drink selection and I also had to get refills for all of us. Actually the only good thing was the food. However they could not make it fast enough. Soon as the would put fresh out if you weren't standing there you didn't get any. Some of the stuff looked like it had been there for days. No one stirred anything. I saw people with steak and saw it on the grill and I went up 8 times to try and get some but no one was ever there. Several of the times I stood there for several minutes and no one came back. It appears that they need to take a few weeks off close and clean that place from top to bottom. During that time they need to hire some staff that actually wants to work they need to be trained.
