Amazing dining establishment and I highly recommend. I would give "five stars" but a couple of issues I'll address. I heard of this place from a friend and we were in the mood for trying a new place. Easy enough to make a reservation online. Not that much signage so we did end up driving past the first time. The outside is very appealing and the inside is just as beautiful. Unfortunately, they seem to be a bit understaffed. I'm assuming they have recently opened; when we walked in, there was a line of people waiting to get checked in and there seemed to only be one person to answer phones and check people in/seat the guests. She was very nice but seemed overwhelmed. When it came our turn to check in, we were informed our table hadn't been cleared. It was odd to see that she also had to clear, clean and set a table. We weren't sure if this was indicative of how the rest of the evening would go. We were seated in a large booth and they are quite spacious and comfortable. Nice solid table and right next to the bar. The whole restaurant even when full isn't too loud. Our server was fairly quick to come and ask for our drink orders. I wasn't sure if they would have what I wanted to drink, but it seems they have just about everything. So, whatever your favorite cocktail, I'm pretty sure you are going to find it here. Whenever trying a new place, we love to try as much as possible. So, for the Starters, we had the House Bread with whipped butter, the Charred Prawns and the Sashimi. Okay, the bread; it's good... if you like cold bread. It comes in a miniature skillet and while it looks quaint, it came out luke warm and was cold within minutes. They really need to just bring bread out in a warm basket and cover with hot napkins to keep the bread warm. Otherwise, I would pass on the bread because you just going to get cold bread. Speaking of cold, the Charred Prawns tasted as if they had been sitting for awhile before served to us. They weren't ice cold like cocktail shrimp, but they were very cold and almost undercooked. I would not order again. The Sashimi was tuna with coconut milk, peppers, cilantro and red onion. This was excellent and would surely order again. For dinner, we were all in the mood for steak so we all ordered the Filet medium rare and a side of béarnaise. For sides, we chose the Asparagus and Truffle Fries. Hands down, one of the BEST steaks I've ever had! All three of us had steaks that were not only cooked to perfection, but the quality of the beef was a quality that I've rarely enjoyed. Dip the meat in the béarnaise sauce and it was absolute heaven! The asparagus and truffle fries were also amazing. We were pretty full but still managed to sample the cheesecake and pecan pie, both of which were amazing. This is a restaurant I would expect to find downtown Austin. It's a beautiful place and quality food! I hope they will bring on at least a second hostess to avoid the long wait at the front and surely a busboy to clean, clear and set tables would be better than watching the hostess all dressed up in a spectacular dress cleaning tables. They absolutely need to invest in plate warmer. Getting cold bread and cold "charred" shrimp was a huge disappointment. Even the side dishes and steaks would have been nicer on hot/warmer plates. We even have plate warmers in our house and routinely serve meals on plates that are 180 degrees. If we can do in our home, certainly they can do in the restaurant. But there is no question, we will be back. Simply the best steak I have since moving to TX and we have dined in San Antonio, Dallas, Houston and Austin but this is the best steak.

Since buying a home in Horseshoe Bay in 2018, I’ve been on a search to find the best filet minion in the Highland Lakes. I believe I’ve tried every restaurant with in an hours drive, all the way to Bee Cave. This is it. Last night I was served a perfectly prepared medium rare filet. Nice red center, perfectly charred outside. As a side dish I had truffle fries that were also perfectly prepared. Orange Cheesecake. My wife had the sea bass, which unfortunately I can't recommend. It wasn’t seared, which surprised me. It wasn't overcooked, but it was served in a thin sauce that tasted like Worcestershire - not a good pairing IMHO. It was a great piece of fish overall, fresh, but the prep was not what I would expect for sea bass. Very nice decor and ambiance. The great sound system and music selection really added to the experience. Nice seating however only a few low tables so be sure to get reservations if you don't want to sit in a high chair. Best fillet in the Highkand Lakes! Also her mashed potatoes paled compared to my truffle fries. If you know of a better filet let me know. I only have beef once a week for health reasons. It will be difficult for me to spend my steak money anywhere else. 2nd place Boaters Bistro, 3rd place Bayview in Cottonwood Shores, 4th place Hidden Falls Bistro 5th - 8th place the Horseshoe BayCountry Clubs.

WARNING an 8oz filet is now $85 and our menus said $49, online says $49. Just the steak, no bread, no sides which I understand in high end steakhouses and don't mind but not for $85. Food and service has really declined and prices gone WAY up. We were there for a family birthday with 10 people. Requested patio were put in the dining room. Had to wait while they prepared a patio table. Steaks cold and not prepared as ordered, baked potatoes cold, cheeseburger blah. Also had higher hopes for this place being local and wanting a nicer and better option for dining. We have been many times but visit before this one I got violently ill from the scallops and emailed, they couldn't have cared less. Tried again sadly but won't go back at this point. To the owners response: if you are going to almost double your prices, your menu and online prices should match and maybe your servers might try saying our steak prices have almost doubled. Most that visit your steakhouse don't mind paying the prices, we have many times. But you are just gonna just advertise/list one price and charge another??? No thank you, just can't give my money to that kind of business. Attached photo taken Friday 3/21, we dined there 3/19.

Our experience was disappointing. It wasn't the food, it was great. Inside was clean but loud. I'll lead with letting you know they will not substitute your dinner side, probably due to the portion (very little) make sure to order a seperate side. We enjoyed the seabass, crab cake, pan seared chicken, scallops with risotto, 8oz file, 14oz NYstrip, shrimp pasta, truffle fries (hightly recommended) mac n cheese, brussel sprouts (highly recommmended), and the burger. It's better to reserve a table sooner rather than later as they run out of items. We ordered our food around 6:15 and they were out of the red fish already. The service was the downfall. The server shared after we ordered, larger parties require more time to prepare, understandable but at that point bread is on the house!?!?! There was a wait for bread as well so you may should order apps as soon as you arrive if with a larger party. Maybe this is due to a small kitchen?!?! Before we arrived we confirmed with the hostess we could bring bakery purchased pies for one of our guests birthday. Upon arrival it was nice they kept them refrigerated for us however when it came time to eat them they said they'd have to charge us a $25 cutting fee and would not let us just cut them ourselves due to some health concern (wasn't a health concern to refrigerate them for us?) sounds bogus to me! Bathrooms are too spacious and should have been designed with more than one toilet per room as there was a line formed just before we needed to leave. Might want to consider a redesign once summer time hits and you open up the patio for service along with the inside. After paying our bill and expressing our disappointment in the extra fee, we were confronted with the waitress having lied about one of our guests complaining about not getting water. There was no complaint but she did have to ask more than once. If it's difficult for one server to wait on a larger party another server should be handy and if your short on staff, put the hostess to work refilling water carafes! Unfortunately we enjoyed the food but not enough to have to endure the terrible service. I believe this establishment has much to learn about customer service and might be too upscale for little ole' Kingsland...

We have had better times at Junction Prime. Tonight we were severely disappointed.

I made reservations this morning for 7 pm. We walked in at 6:45 and the hostess said we don’t have a reservation for you. I pulled up my reservation and showed her. She said oh, you made reservations today, I made my cards yesterday and didn’t have you for today, found our reservation and sat us.

We ordered drinks and appetizers, all good there! Recommend their oysters and shrimp cocktail!

Ordered a steak and asked for a baked potato. We are sold out for tonight sorry! (At 7?!) so we went with the mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts. We waited over an hour for our food. The mashed potatoes came out cold and soupy. For waiting an hour and a half we were super disappointed, especially since it was our second choice to begin with. One of my favorites about the steak is the roasted garlic that comes with it. Our garlic was definitely sitting out or under the lamp way to long, you couldn’t squeeze it out, it was dried out and hard as a rock.

Our server said they had people not show up for tonight. Considering we had a bad experience with low staff at hoopers as well. Thinking it is a management problem rather than “people not showing up” they just are not scheduling enough people to work. Our server worked hard considering they were “understaffed”.

Overall we were disappointed considering what you pay, there should never be discrepancies in...
