Parking: Ability to park in the front lot as well as in the back of the building
Service Immediately seated. The offer of free house wine was a nice touch. The host took our order. This gentleman was beyond wonderful. He was friendly and made ordering easy. One of the people in our group could only eat mild and the server advised that he would be certain to have extra raita for him in case he had any issues with the mild heat level. He advised that rice was free and that it would be brought over in a small container so that it doesn’t become cold and if we needed more, we could just let them know and they would bring more right over. This demonstrates that he cares about how the food is served. For each dish we were asked which spice level we wanted. During the meal we were checked on to see if we needed more rice, if we were enjoying our meal or if there was anything else, we needed.
Papadum -Served immediately to enjoy while browsing the extensive menu.
Vegetarian Platter -Excellent. Crispy and not greasy. Each item had its own flavor profile so you did not feel you were eating more of the same.
Shrimp Dum Biryani – Ordered mild. Large tail on shrimp. Well-seasoned rice. * watch for pieces of clove
Hakka Noodles (Veg) - Ordered mild. Perfectly done noodles, flavorful and more than enough vegetables. Provided with enough of the sauces to mix to allow for customization of how sweet/hot you want them.
Saag Paneer - Ordered mild. Nicely done. Creamy as it should be.
Daal Makhani - Ordered medium. This dish was beyond fantastic. The level of creaminess made this dish a table favorite.
Chicken Malai Kabob - Ordered extra hot. Came out sizzling with a fragrant aroma. Nicely charred bit from the tandoor and yet tender inside.
Salad - 2 of the items we ordered came with a salad it was fresh and crisp. Garlic Naan - Plenty of garlic
You could tell there was a sense of pride in what this team does. It was reflected in the top-notch service, and the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff. The food is excellent, and I would not hesitate to go for dinner again. My father has only had Indian food once before. He is a picky eater and yet he is already plotting his next visit. My mother who declared herself full kept reaching in to grab additional bites because it was so good. That is a rare occurrence because when my mother puts her fork down, she is done, in this case she just couldn’t resist more. Thank you to the team at Masala Zone for a wonderfully flavorful meal and...
Read moreI have to thank facebook for popping up an add that lead me to finding this gem. Finally, a place to get quality, delicious Indian food in the Horsham area.I am 8 years loyal to a NJ spot (Nimit Palace, if curious); because while I searched; I never found another restaurant providing food near as tasty. Now, I have a local option.
I dragged my Mr. out; and we decided to order our 'usuals' in order to really compare to our favorite spot. I had a Chicken Korma with Kashmiri Naan; and he Butter Chicken and Garlic Naan.
We decided that the Korma was a close second place finisher, but the Butter chicken was slightly more delicious! A new favorite! The naan is much fluffier than what I am used to; but very delicious. Service was very attentive; and they really expressed genuine care for their customers. This will absolutely be one of our regular places to eat from here on out.
It looks like they have a small buffet we will have to try sometime. A random suggestion; I would LOVE to see a 'tasting event', since this restaurant has the space. A event where you pay a flat fee, and try maybe 5-10 tasting size portions of different dishes; I find that I LOVE my Korma so much, that I can't give up eating it, in order to try something new. And it would be great for people new to Indian, not knowing what to order, or what things will taste like. I would absolutely pay $50/e to have tastings like that. Even if they were only every few months; and especially if they had a rotating menu; I would...
Read moreMy (South African) Indian hair stylist recommended this place to me. Now I plan my appointments around eating time. Pre-Covid they had a great buffet. Perfect to for my new 'do'. Now with covid and lockdowns my hair grew long. Masala Zone openned for in person dining, and we had to go. Dinner is terrific. We had the chicken wings -baked in a tandoori oven. Very flavorable. ( it is the tandoor oven not a secret sauce that makes it special ). We also had chicken saag (chicken in a spinach sauce) and lamb roganjosh ( lamb in a tomato, onion and cashews). Both were excellent. My lovely dining companion is spice adverse. They toned, down the saag. She enjoyed. It was delicious. I asked about spice level. There is American and Indian spice metrics. I had Indian medium. It was tasty. Next time I'll do hot. I should also mention our host and server Robert. He was excellent. We brought wine. He brought glasses without our asking. I was undecided on my ordered, and he guided me through my choices. (Away from the special of the day i.e. they are not trying to upsell you but to give the customer what they want. Not 5 stars only because 5 to me means reallly special more then just excellent or great. I live 30 minutes away. It is worth the drive. If that is your standard -worth a...
