**Edit: NaBrasa’s effort and actions to restore our faith after our experience were exceptional and professjonal. We have adjusted our rating and we will be will dining there again soon.
We had a fine experience dining, very poor experience with their valet service, and disappointing service with management.
We’ve dined here previously and learned that valet was optional, not required. Jefferson Ave was backed up with cars onto Easton road while it was raining, it was not safe to remain sitting on Easton road to wait when we’re capable of parking ourselves.
We drove into the parking lot that said “Nabrasa parking lot", chose a parking spot, started to turn into it which resulted to a valet member slamming another cars horn behind us, him rushing out and jumping in front of our car while we were moving into the spot, knocking our cars hood and window yelling at us that this parking spot was only for valet and that we had to park in the back of the lot, which if you can imagine, is only about 20 feet more of driving and does not create a relative issue for either us to be transparent. He grew angrier when we said the sign says Nabrasa parking lot and he continued to argue with us when we tried to explain to him that it was not safe to wait on Easton road and that we would have no way of knowing this is a reserved section of a parking lot that is also meant for self parking. We voiced our opinion that it’s ridiculous and unsafe that he jumped in front of our moving car, if we had successfully parked we would have had no issue re-parking further into the lot, we had umbrellas, rain coats, and are not lazy entitled people, it's not a big deal to us, but his response was something along the lines of “You’re not my boss you can’t tell me what to do”. As we approached the restaurant he avoided responding to us while we walked past asking him to give us his name, he knew he was in the wrong.
We were relieved that a manager came to speak with us at our table but left surprised and disappointed that they did not even offer to at least take care of anything toward the bill. We spent almost three hundred dollars including the tip, it's not like a round of complimentary drinks would have affected their bottom line. Also, when I made my reservation I noted that it was my birthday month but no offer came from them to take care of 1 of the meals as they advertise either.
I’m not the type of expect a handout or try to take advantage of any person of business, but this was disappointing and I certainly would have offered something to a customer of mine to show sympathy for a poor experience stemming from aggressive and confrontational behavior by their valet service. It's the gesture that matters to us, not what they offer to make up for an unpleasant experience. It showed us they must not care for our experience and they decided to lean on the fact that the valet is a service they hire, not their employees. I'm an easy going person but this is the first time I've decided that I won’t return to a...
Read moreI went here as a party of five for my mother's seventy-third bday. We had a Saturday evening reservation and we were seated quickly. I was a bit surprised by the uninspired dining room, as I mentally expected a more plush environment. The lighting is stark and our small, round table, featured hard wooden chairs. Our warm and friendly server invited us to enjoy the salad bar as the meats were being prepared. The salad bar was just....meh. it included items that didn't make sense at a Brazilian steakhouse. There were chicken and tuna salads that looked unappealing and also lox. The salad bar also offers a mac n cheese, best described as something a toddler might enjoy, because it was bland. There were also offering of Ceasar and cucumber salads, cheese and Buffalo wings. This salad bar doesn't hold a candle to other Brazilian steakhouses I've enjoyed. It could definitely use an upgrade in appearance and authenticity. Now for the good news...the meat selections were PHENOMENAL! Every single cut of meat was tender, juicy, and delicious. The filet mignon could easily compete with any filet mignon from a traditional steakhouse. The lamb chops and leg of lamb were delicately seasoned and tenderly prepared. My twelve year old, carnivore son, was pleased to see the NY strip and flank steak offered in a variety of temperatures, from rare to well-done. I was pleasantly surprised by the chicken Parmigiano, which featured a light, crispy exterior and a hot, tender, juicy interior. The grilled shrimp were lightly cooked and seasoned, and were also fresh- tasting. I loved the salmon. Ask for a center piece, as the pieces around the edges were a bit overcooked. The center pieces were delicate, and featured a lightly charred exterior. Our table was also offered family-style mashed potatoes, cheese rolls, and fried bananas. My picky brother said the buttery mashed potatoes and fried bananas were really good. My son devoured the warm cheese rolls. If you're a carnivore fan, this is the place for you! I think we were offered at least ten different types of proteins. The prix fixe menu is a budget-friendly way to enjoy a steakhouse and keep each diner satisfied. I would return, solely for the proteins, while keeping my salad bar expectations in check. Nabrasa is a nice, suburban, family-style steakhouse, that caters to a traditional palate. It isn't a hip, Center City steakhouse by any means, but it's a delicious restaurant to enjoy...
Read moreI had high expectations as my husband had been to a Brazilian steakhouse in NY while away on business and said how phenomenal it was. So while traveling this week we went to this location based on reviews. It was a little loud so it was very hard to hear what the wait staff was saying when they would come over since they stood closer to my husband so I had to keep asking him what they were saying. The wait staff was very pleasant though, no complaint there. However- we did not get to sample all the different meats because they didn’t all come over. We added it up and we had only 9 of the 14-15 come to our table. The best things as far as tenderness and flavor that we liked- the bacon wrapped filet which while it was well done and we prefer medium- still had a nice flavor and tenderness; the garlic sirloin (so good!) and the parm chicken. They do have a lot of side options to choose from, and of those my favorite was the chicken salad. I could have bought some of that to take home if I lived locally. Lol I tried the Brazilian rice bc I figured it must have some special seasoning or something but it was very bland and dry. The chicken wings had a good flavor but were over cooked. We found a lot of the sides to be over cooked and/or bland. But maybe that is common for Brazilian cuisine, I’m not sure. The mixed veggies were good, cooked nicely but again, bland. The cauliflower was good but could use some better seasoning as well. (Or leave all the seasoning off entirely) The drinks- they were good but very small in comparison to the price. If I’m going to pay that much for a drink I want it to slap me in the face at least a little. Lol Our waitress was lovely, no complaints there, she did come and check on us a few times. Overall, it was a neat experience for sure, but didn’t live up to the hype of the one my husband has gone to in NY and he said the quality/tenderness of the meat was nowhere near as good; he said this would be considered choice grade, not top grade. Would we come back to this one again on future travels? Probably not. While there was nothing “bad” about it, we didn’t find it was worth the price with all the things mentioned above considered. But we had a nice evening out celebrating our 25th anniversary so that’s what mattered most to us. Side note- why do you ask on your reservation site if it’s for a special occasion? We found that odd since our dining experience wasn’t changed...
