Visiting Houston on a business trip from Phoenix and we have a delicious crab boil spot called the angry crab. Thought for sure there would be a good place in Houston for a seafood boil, so I googled places near me and found this one. First off I know they close at 10 and I did get there at a little after 9:30 but it’s still NOT 10. When I got to the counter to TRY and order my food there were other associates already mopping floors wiping down and sweeping as though they were already closed the young lady behind the counter seemed uninterested in explaining the menu to me. Made me feel like I was wasting her time by asking questions about the selections. Once I finally got my order in she tried to swipe my corporate Citibank credit card and said “its not working” I asked what’s not working? Because if it’s a problem with the card I need to call my HR department, which I know it’s not I just used it prior and after. It’s a corporate card with a 30,000 dollar limit. She said I don’t know it just doesn’t work and brushed me off. I can’t comment on the food because I never got to taste it but overall it was a bad experience and I hoped Houston would do better. I entered the establishment to order my food and was immediately confronted by a cashier and was told rudely that I had to call in and order, so I began to call my order in while inside the location and Alejandro expressed to me in a verify abrasive tone that I had to call from outside of the building, which I didn't understand I proceeded to go outside to place my order. So I called from outside the door to then have Alejandro answered the phone continuing to speak to me in a rudely and unprofessional manner he made my ordering process as difficult as possible. After continuing to be treated in this manner I expressed to him and told him he was not treating with respect or professionalism. He then screamed to me to go somewhere else and locked me out, so that I was not able to speak with a manager. This individual is rude and has no regard to his customers nor their service. This is not acceptable especially during these trying times. I hope that this matter is addressed in a respectful manner. I will never come to this...
Read moreUpdate: I went back to the restaurant later that week. I spoke with the manager who stated he had already had a discussion with the owner. He was apologetic and stated it would never happen again. They gave me free tea while waiting on my order.
Previously: I have eaten here many times. I would give a 4-5 stars for the quality of the fish; however I drove over 10 miles to get there tonight and arrived at 9:54pm and the staff had already locked the door and was mopping the floor. There were still 2 tables of customers inside. When I motioned to the staff that it was not 10 o'clock yet, she just turned her back and walked away. Even the google maps app showed the store to be 'closing soon' but not 'closed'. This was very inconsiderate of the staff tonight. I was very disappointed to have rushed there from work only to be treated so rudely.
