We ate here the other day. The food was reasonable (good, but not great), but we discovered that many of the packaged potato chips were expired. We politely made the server (owner?) aware and he kindly offered us an alternative product which was nice of him. What disappointed us was the next two people bought chips (including an elderly man carrying an oxygen breather) and he sold them the same expired chips and didn’t say anything! That’s the wrong attitude to have. From reading the other reviews, the restaurant has previously been made aware of this issue, yet they STILL CONTINUE with this deceptive practice. Apparently he has no desire to change his ways.
If he can ‘miss’ expired packages on sale, you might have to wonder about the freshness of the other ingredients he uses.
We have no interest...
Read moreHorrible only giving a star in order to publish....following....the italian beef sandwich did not come as described on the menu, suppose to be meat, cheese and gravy, served with maybe 4oz of meat and couldnt tell there was cheese on it, and topped with lettuce, pickles, tomatoes and onions for $10 (subway is better), the spaghetti and meatballs was a decent size for $9 but the meatballs dry and old and the pasta was overcooked. I discussed with the only person working there today to give him opportunity to make things right, no such luck and tipped him 15%...definitely not an Italian deli.....would have never been served such sandwich in chicago. Hope this clears up...
