I’ve stayed all over the world with budget Hotels. Many countries. Many levels. This is the worst of the world and that is saying a lot. I have no idea nor understanding why Wyndham is affiliated with this place. Filthy carpet never vacuumed. (My socks were soiled with black goo just over one walk across the room.) Forget about requesting another room. It doesn’t happen and one could get even worst than original. No refunds. No service. Skanky towels never replaced so I went to nearby dollar store for towels so I could shower for my meeting. Body fluids of all thpes and colors everywhere. Lots of “stinky brown” swabbed all over bathroom walls room 111. Hair, long black, all in the shower. Non smoking room yet reeks of cigarette smoke and burns on furniture and sheets. It just smelled so bad. Worst of all, the carpet had never been vacuumed. Nasty sticky body oils and dirt all over the carpet. Literally ones feet stick yo carpet every step. Dirty socks just from walking to bed to bathroom. (I had to go to local dollar store to get a pack of disposable socks and lots of disinfectant spray.) No refunds. No changing rooms. My towels taken away after first “cleaning” at 11am and not returned until 7 pm. I had to go to local dollar store to buy towels with which to bathe for my meeting. I don’t expect much from budget hotels and generally ok. Wyndham Hobby Travelodge is the dirtiest, nastiest place I’ve ever encountered. Just say no. Go elsewhere. There was feces on wall in bath and all furniture and bedding was riddled with smoke burns and stench. Most of all, the problem filth was the dirt. Nasty. Nobody cares. Everything I brought into the room is going to dry cleaners. Nobody wanted to help. Everybody wanted to give me bad attitude. I’ve got photos of the human waste on walls, duvets, and headboards. It’s all going to the health department. I’ve had good luck with budget hotels but this one is absolutely the nastiest I’ve ever seen. I travel the world. I’ve seen it all. This pace is just terrible. Don’t don’t spend your money here. Caution: they will collect your credit card number for damages. I don’t trust them with my financial info. I cancelled my card and requested a replacement. I’m scared what they will do with the info. DO NOT book here. The other reviews are accurate. They steal your money, give you a crusty and filthy stinky room, and ask for a major credit card deposit. No way. I’m very disappointed for Wyndham to have been endorsed this place. SHAME on you all for taking advantage of budget hotel seekers. Meanwhile, all my clothes are either thrown away or at dry cleaners. No money was saved here considering this. I’m still nauseated and sick, disturbed at what happened here. Wyndham???? What are you going to do about this retail theft? Should you really have the Wyndham name associated? Is it worth it to you to franchise but turn a blind eye? You are close to losing a life-time customer. What’s going on here? I want answers, please. ...
Read moreTERRIBLE!!!! Zero stars if I could give it. |The 3 star review on here can not possibly be current...in fact it must be YEARS OLD. A joke. I love IHG Holiday in and have been a rewards member for many years. This property should not be listed as an IHG property.|First Off... I don't know when it was remodeled, but I stayed there March 12th before catching a plane early the next morning. It is NOT newly remodeled. OLD OLD OLD... The latch to our room was broken. Patches and paint missinging in bathroom...and half roll of toilet paper.. || Pro... It has a shuttle! Both drivers were prompt in picking us up FROM the airport and taking us to airport at 4 am the next morning.||Con... Everything else about this deplorable hotel. The swiming pool is not working and was a big disappointment since we specifically chose the hotel for the pool and spa as we had an early afternoon arrival. We were told it "just" broke... Nope, not true as other staff told us it was not working for a long time...|Our room had no door striker plate and really wouldn't lock. We were too tired to fight about it and at that point worried we wouldn't get a ride to the airport if we complained. | Also, you could tell from the debris around the building and around pool. NO outside maintenance.. In fact there are pot holes and its plain dangerous to walk around outside. We tried to walk down and find a restautrant since theirs was a joke. (Paper signs saying breakfast not included with rooms is tacky. That should be made clear at check-in.)|Next the lobby is discusting. Dingy, and nothing special at all. Colors are worn and outdated. |We had looked forward to a nice bar and place to have dinner. The BAR pictured is NOT what we sat at. Dirty displays. No calming inviting decor. Cleaning bottles on the shelf.. No real bartender. Who helped us did his best but he seemed to really either work in the kitchen or maintence. My quesidilla was good.Really the only thing I thought would be safe. We had beer. I was going to have wine but noticed the wine was opened. I asked how long and he said probably from last week!! Cabs do NOT last that long sitting on a shelf in a dusty, dingy bar. So, no thank you. |Paper cups and hot pots and plastic paper junk for coffee in lobby. No real class. Just a very run down property and not worth the $116 at all. They would have had our return business but not now. So glad I had not booked my return trip hotel yet. We are booking another hotel close by for $83 and it has a...
Read moreWhen we first were greeted and walked into the hotel lobby, everything seemed to be okay. WRONG! Check in was fine after $130 due on site for early check in and the temporary hold on my credit card, okay fine I expected that. However, after getting the room keys and walking towards the elevators, there were chunks of the doors missing like they had used a cheap plaster or cover. The front desk attendant was constantly on her phone either openly on speaker or pressed against her ear, whenever you were trying to pay for snacks or ask for the bathroom key, she could not keep her attention away from her phone long enough to speak to you. It was very unprofessional and rude. The room itself was tolerable until we walked into the bathroom and found several things wrong. The tub had its plaster chipping away, there were very little amenities, the pillows in the beds were uncomfortable, and overall it felt cramped. Moving onto the hotel amenities: 1. My friend went to go to the pool around midday and he found there was a chain wrapped around both doors and unable to move it to enjoy the pool area. The fitness center door required your keycard but he went to open that door, the keycard insert always flashed red and there was no issue with his room key. If you have a party of 4 staying in one room and you need the restroom downstairs, you have to ask the front desk to unlock the door for you and shut it afterwards. You weren’t allowed to leave it unlocked for the next person to use. We did not stay longer than 12 hours because we had a flight the following morning early; From what we saw there was no breakfast, lunch, or dinner options served. You’d have to spend more money ordering DoorDash or Uber Eats for any meals and that’s if your dasher or driver is being nice enough to bring it to your room. (Our last dash of the night, our dasher refused to even leave the lobby and yelled at my husband because they wanted to start a fight over nothing). My advice, if you are staying here for a flight the next day or even heading to Galveston for a cruise, find a different hotel that has...
