Beef and Bun BBQ — Restaurant in Houston

I patronize this business all the time and have been all my life. Sometimes several times a week and rarely have issues. Most recently I went and ordered a baked potato with no onions and extra bacon, along with other things. I made it home, opened my plate, and there were onions on my potato, LOTS of them. I called the store. They asked if I wanted to come back in tonight. I told them I was not in the area but they could provide me with a replacement when I was in the area. The lady then proceeds to tell me I would need to bring the baked potato back when I come. So you’re telling me I would first be inconvenienced in the fact that I now already have to use my gas to drive back to your establishment to get the correct order that I paid for from the beginning, AND I can’t eat tonight because I have to save the baked potato to bring it back to you in order for you to correct YOUR wrong??? I told her I was going to have to scrape off the onions and sour cream and replace it with my own sour cream just to be able to eat the potato which would warrant a replacement by itself, but you’re telling me I can’t even do that because I have to save the potato and bring it back whenever that might be?!? I had been eating beef and bun for years. Way before most people knew they existed. Not only that but they were a staple in the Hiram Clarke area. Believe or not man this was the best bbq you could get but now ... After my last few trips, I'm not going to continue to give them credit they DO NOT DESERVE. Meat mostly dry, baked brisket and ribs all smothered in BBQ sauce. This last sliced beef sandwich I just experienced was the final straw. Had that old refrigerated, leftover, baked taste smothered in BBQ sauce. Links are just disgusting now. Only thing good about this place is the deleware punch. What they charge is highway robbery for baked meats and the most bland fries you will ever eat in your day. They should've been closed years ago. It's nothing like it use to be. The quality of it all has went to hell. They'll never get another dime from me. I can promise you that. Anybody here saying that this is good bbq, has no clue what really smoked/bbq meats should taste like. Don't eat at they house lolol. Beef and bun has been a family staple since it opened in my family! It has changed hands a couple of times in my life time. Greek BBQ believe it or not.. Baked Potatoes are the best in the world!! Hands down! They set the standard for me and no matter where I go lol no one can touch a beef and bun baked potato!! I have since moved 400+ miles away but when I am in Houston I will go and sit in an unchanged place and remember eating with my grand parents, aunts and uncles, mom and dad! I have even shared a baked potato with my son! Their sliced beef sandwich divorced lol and a tea with a baked potato! Their sauce is very tomato based because unlike your traditional Texas bbq or Kansas City style this is not that it is Greek! Greek owned and operated for years. Lol in 2003 we went in looking for the meat slicer who we all grew up with we were told he didn’t die he simply went home to Greece lol I believe it changed hands once or twice but has remained true to what keeps them with lines out the door for lunch!
