First of all, this place is nothing pretty but when I tell you this is a top 5 Fried Chicken joint in Houston - Just trust me!! I regularly drive 20 mins to eat here. Pictured here is their chicken strips and rice combo. They give you 5 MASSIVE chicken tenders with plain fried rice and brown gravy. Great value at $7.29 for the combo. Their fried chicken wings combo (5 whole wings, not split = actually 10 wings) is also just as good if not better so you take your pick. I’m not entirely sure about their Chinese food but I hear good things If you get the right items. I can tell you that when it comes to their fried chicken this place does not disappoint. Always hot and always filling. Be sure you come to this location, MLK, Cullen or Scott street as they are the best locations. P.S. - You absolutely MUST get the STRAWBERRY SODA. It is the GOAT.

In my search for good Chinese food I came across this place, granted I wasn’t thinking this would blow my mind but possibly decent fast food. This is the first time I’ve eaten here so I had no expectations but crossing my fingers that it was good. This place wasn’t fancy but the lady that took my order was nice. Now about the food, it was ok. The food needed seasoning but for the most part it was fresh. I ordered pork lo mein, Kung por chicken, General Tso’s chicken, egg rolls and these shrimp cheese puffs. The chicken orders came with “fried rice” (it didn’t not look/taste like fried rice) and the filling on the shrimp cheese puffs wasn’t bad but the wrap was so hard it broke a tooth. I don’t think I’d come back unless I didn’t want to drive anywhere. I do have to say price wasn’t bad $25 for everything.

This place was below my expectation! I was near the area and decided to get a chicken dinner with shirmp fried rice. Why did I do that!!! Ughhhh I remembered that another Timmy Chan on Hwy 6 had great food. Why did I think to compare because this was the worst shrimp fried rice I have ever had in life! The shrimp was pink..and that made me scared to eat it, thinking I would get sick and knowing that small shrimp is never pink! I was completely disgusted. The chicken was ok, but it wasent seasoned and it had no flavor. Definalety check your shrimp before you leave, and try at your own risk.

Cash only is the most annoying thing ever. How do I know how much cash I need for my order until you tell me? And then what if i don't have enough on me or i want to place a larger order once i know that you have other things i didn't see on the menu or just want something last minute?... They need to update their menu as there are things you can order that aren't listed and they have no other menu to view other than the one inside, not even in the drive thru!...seriously. The other thing is, this BIH is rude as hell (I'm not going to post her picture but you'll know who I'm talking about)..the cashier. One of those people who should have just taken the day off of you were going to be in this bad of a mood, for real. One of those types of people who no matter how polite you are being they act like they are so bothered. If I hadn't driven so far I would have taken my coins elsewhere. The place is very clean despite the surroundings and the food quality is great compared to a few of the other Timmy Chan locations. I don't want to say that because of the location and demographic then your expectations shouldn't be any higher but when you treat customers poorly that's the impression that's left for this establishment. Everyone loves Timmy Chan's so they get a lot of grace for being a staple in the hood but to the owner or manager; nothing will ruin your business like bad...

I write this review with the sole purpose & hope that someone else will read this before going & skip this place. My father has cancer and some days he just can't get anything down. The combination fried rice is one exception. And the people that cook the food here know how to cook. The lady (he-she with gold in her mouth) always has a very stank attitude. I asked how long my order would take because I had to get a few things at CVS for my mom and the lady asked if I could get her some chocolate chip cookies! I said I didn't have much money and said "just some chocolate chip cookies." REALLY!!! SMH!!! This is not the first time i have heard her ask the customers for something, like a common, begging, homeless bum. Im going to check if this place is a franchise or individually owned. The franchise should know. The same cashier always yells and curses at the cooks EVERY time I've gone.. Very unprofessional. If she is the owner, the name should change to save the franchise name. If you have 12 minutes to spare, and maybe $2 extra gas, go to the location off 610 by Reliant Stadium. They are professional, polite, respectfully, appreciate your business, and it's just a such a...
