Cafe Ông Bà — Restaurant in Houston

4/10/2024- I ordered a pork vermacelli bowl- it was made the way I requested them to do- easy on the noodles (most of the time when i go to vietnamese restaurants, no matter how I say easy on the noodles, they pile on lots of noodles still). They are not stingy on the pork- it was actually a lot and was not over cooked, not like most of the places that I’ve been to. The fish sauce was just made right for my liking- not too sweet, not too overpowering fishy smell. The veggies that were used were fresh- not a speck of brown stuff that you sometime see on the cabbage or the cilantro. Overall experience- Good Quality Food. A new cafe open up here at my doctor's office building, a little mom and pop or in Vietnamese since this place is Vietnamese Cafe (Quán cà phê mẹ và cha). They do have sits and table in the cafe or you can sit on the outside on the patio sitting. This is a convenient little cafe for the people working at this building and for the patients thats visiting here. I got the avocado toast and the egg was fried perfectly with the running yolk. But I did not realize it was open in the to-go container upside. They made our feed very quickly. The place looks very clean and the menu have a lot of every food to go. I love coming here, I normally get the Blueberry fruit tea that’s my all time favorite! I also love their Vietnamese sandwich (Banh Mi). You guys have to try it out.
