I stumbled across this spot by chance, and I’m so glad I did! While there are several locations around Houston, each is independently owned, and this one truly stands out. Years ago, my family and I had a favorite go-to near Almeda Mall, and it was our Friday night tradition. They served this incredible dish called Singapore Chicken or Shrimp, and we couldn’t get enough of it. Unfortunately, after Hurricane Harvey, that location closed, and I’ve been searching for that same unforgettable flavor ever since.
After trying a few spots, I finally found the Westheimer location that had the dish! But the distance made it a rare treat. Then, to my surprise, I discovered this gem right off I-10, just minutes from my job. They call it Triple Spicy Chicken or Shrimp here, and let me tell you...it’s amazing! The spice level is just right (though I like to kick it up with extra hot oil and sriracha), and it’s served with broccoli and your choice of fried or white rice...I always go for white.
Their portions are generous, the ingredients are fresh, and the service is top-notch. This location is small, with just a few tables for dining in, but the atmosphere is warm, and the staff treats every customer like family. I usually order to-go for office lunches or a quick dinner on my way home, and it never disappoints.
If you’re in the area, don’t miss out on this spot! Give it a try and tell them this...
Read moreThis was an unexpected treat on a rather tiring day! The decor and atmosphere is calm and welcoming. Sharon greeted us and took our order; I didn't know what to get so she helped me narrow down the choices. We originally placed the order as to-go, but we felt so relaxed that we ate there. The other lady updated the order quickly without issue.
I got the Chicken Broccoli with steamed rice, and my friend got a combination plate of Pepper Steak and Chicken Lo Mein with steamed rice. We tried some of each other's food; everything was wonderfully delicious. The portions were generous; there were serving spoons and additional plates for sharing. Sharon and the other lady made sure we had everything we needed.
When Sharon checked on us, she noticed that we didn't have any beverages. She apologized profusely for forgetting the water and thought she put the order in incorrectly. We explained that she did everything correctly and that we hadn't asked for water since the order was originally to-go. We all had a laugh over it. It just showed us that they truly care about their customers!
We noticed that some of the decorations were handmade, and Sharon gave a brief history of the items. I asked for permission to take pictures. All in all, I'm so glad that we stopped here. I will be a...
Read moreSurprisingly good, I’ve been looking for a Chinese restaurant with fresh food and fried rice that isn’t stale. I came across this place after stopping by xfinity and I got to say I was VERY Impressed.
The staff was friendly and it was a very clean environment. I went during lunch and it was packed. The food was very fresh.
I ordered the triple spicy shrimp and the combination plate with pepper steak and general tso’s chicken. The flavor was just amazing! The shrimp was not very spicy to me but maybe just enough for some people. You could taste the garlic and the spices on the shrimp. Oh I almost forgot to mention, THE SHRIMPS WERE HUGE JUMBO SIZED! The portion was so big I had another meal for later. The pepper steak was not too salty and the flavor was great with the onions and bell peppers. I think this place is known for its general tso’s and now I know why. The chicken was sweet and spicy, hands down the best general tso’s I’ve had in Houston. The cashier recommended I order the chicken soft if I want it to be juicier.
I highly recommend this place if you’re craving some Chinese...
