I had lunch at Cheba Hut Toasted Subs. I went on a recommendation because I specifically wanted a good Italian sub on a soft roll.
Itâs a cool vibe with fun music and a bar so you can have beer, wine, or a cocktail. plentiful easy parking on a Sunday at noon.
They have four sizes. The 8 inch sub was plenty (I have an average appetite) and the sub, chips, and fountain drink was just under $20 with a 10% tip.
I had the sub toasted so the roll was a little crunchy but was the soft sub roll I prefer. There was a decent amount of meats and veggies, not overstuffed but reasonable. It was dressed well so flavorful but not soggy.
For dine in you order and staff bring your food to you. The food came out in about 10 minutes (wasnât paying a lot of attention but it was a totally reasonably wait).
I got a bunch of recommendations from the Houston Heights Foodie Group and going to try other places. So not sure yet this will be my favorite but I will come back! 8 out of 10. Not the BEST Italian Iâve ever had but it...
Read moreCheba Hut has been a major staple to me and friend's post workout meal.
My friend and I used to get out of CycleBar and having to find a place that opens later than 8/9pm was hard. Since we like to take the last 7pm class next door, we get really hungry.
I'm so glad Cheba Hut opened up cause we literally walk on over next door and get a post workout meal. Come in sweaty. We even get comments from the people at the register "dannnnng must've been a hardcore class!!! Is it worth it? Is it fun?" I guess you can say it's a good conversation starter cause we always look drenched in sweat. Sorry not sorry.
Feedback for management: add in Gatorade or Powerade on the fountain drink for the sweaty people next door.
We come here weekly after a spin class and climbing session. And we're on a mission to try every sub here. So far every sub we've tried has been a hit. Especially on garlic bread.
Staff is always chill and helpful. Not gonna lie, this place kinda gives off sports bar vibes that...
Read moreif I could give this place 10 stars, I would! One of the best things about Cheba is their staffâ€ïž they are welcoming, attentive, fiun, they are welcoming, attentive, fun extremely knowledgeable about the entire menu. Iâve been going here since they open and even the staff that is not working, perhaps eating themselves acknowledge you and treat you as if theyâre still on the clock. This Hass to be the only place that I frequent that Iâve never had even a mild engagement or experience. Shout out to Tony on the line!! she is able to make the best sub that youâll ever eat! Although, they are a great staff, the Lizzoâs (how to ask her a nickname she has a really unique beautiful name) get employee of the month for me every single time Iâm in there! You guys are top notch and I appreciate your entire staff for being so accommodating and friendly. And the food is on comparable to any sandwich Iâve ever had! If you want to know a good choice, the G 13 is my go to with the jalapeño chips and...
