Chipotle Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Houston

I’m truly upset at how I was just treated on 4/17/25. I normally come here on my lunch often and the last few times I visited especially on today really was the last straw. No one greets anymore when you enter, I had a young lady prepare my bowl which I already knew what it was that I wanted. I asked for servings and aware of the up charge for double meat. There was a lady and her two children in front of me who paid for their transactions and before being issued a receipt or the total being completed and was told nothing. As I walked to the register I seen the transaction stated approved. The same lady who just made my bowl was the one to check me out. She ended up almost putting the customers sides to their food with my transaction attempting to charge me more before I corrected the situation. Once she told me my total was $14.50 I tapped my phone as always do for my form of payment. My notification alerted me of the charges and I proceeded to exit as I normally don’t require a receipt. The young lady screamed “Sir your payment didn’t go through” as if I was trying to leave the establishment without paying. I politely walked back to the register and stood there for a moment until the transaction on her side stated approved. I can understand why this location has such low reviews. I can’t say anything negative about the staff—the people serving were polite and the portions were fair. The issue lies with whoever is in charge of preparing the chips. I paid extra for chips and guacamole, and while the guac was fresh and tasted great, I couldn’t enjoy it because the chips were extremely stale.

We were given four different bags of chips after expressing our concern, each supposedly made fresh that morning, but they were consistently bad. Some chips were bendy, others were so tough they were hard to chew through. Thankfully, we were refunded for the chips and guac, but when we asked for a tortilla as a replacement, they still charged us instead of offering it as a courtesy—which felt a bit tone-deaf given the situation.

Again, no one was rude, and the staff did their job, but I don’t appreciate being gaslit into thinking the chips were fine. Based on this experience, I won’t be returning to...

I took my kid to the new Beechnut location to order us smoked brisket meals only to get the smallest pieces of meat and rice ever anywhere. He was so intentional about giving us the smallest portion he could it was too obvious. I thought maybe my kid is small, he clearly would not try to give an adult the same portion size but unfortunately he did. I asked him to please add the Proper portion and he added two small additional pieces which were insulting. I told him to keep it and paid for my kids meal. This is a new Chipotle in the neighborhood serving Bellaire, Meyerland and its surrounding communities. This new location is subpar by comparison to other locations. I had to drive to another Chipotle located 5 miles away, where portions are the same every time!!! Fair service should be minimal but this felt like robbery for the money.
