The space is clean, and well lit. The staff were over the top friendly, and knowledgeable about their product. Service was fast and largely accurate (forgot cheese on my fries but quickly fixed it).
The food...was good. I got the slider and a tender combo with spice level "hot", kale coleslaw, mac and cheese, cheese fries, and a vanilla shake. First time so decided to try everything they offered. š
The chicken was very good, quality meat, cooked perfectly with right amount of breading. The "hot" spice level was not lying - it. was. spicy. I love spicy, but will likely get the medium next time.
The mac and cheese was really just not that good, will not get again. The kale coleslaw was very tasty, both crabby and tangy and crunchy, will definitely get again. The crinkle cut seasoned fries were fantastic! And the cheese sauce on top made them even better.
The vanilla shake was honestly terrible, which is a shame. Dave's really had a chance to wow me with a handspun amazing icy cold shake to wash down that tasty spicy chicken. But they missed the mark here by a lot by instead serving up a pre-frozen mixture from a machine that I would not recommend getting even if they didn't charge $5 for it.
Here's the pro-tip: get the slider! It has a huge piece of spicy chicken, optional slice of cheese, amazing crunchy thick cut pickles, a portion of the kale slaw, and a smear of the Dave's dipping sauce. The combination of spicy, sweet, crunchy, creamy, and tangy was a literal explosion of goodness in every bite. This is the way!
