What a wonderful restaurant! The food is always delicious and good! Someone help me find this amazing guy that dined here the other day when we were without power. “My power went out last night and we still don’t have electricity. My son was begging for pancakes, so what’s a mom to do? I drove around for over an hour looking for a restaurant that has pancakes or just food in general. We ended up at the Denny’s on Westheimer and Dunvale. This awesome guy sat by himself right next to us and we chatted for what seemed like forever. He was even keeping my three year old entertained. I asked for the ticket and my son took it from the waitress and ended up giving the ticket to the guy who sat next to me. I kept telling my son “no no, mommy has to pay her own bill”. Ken took the ticket and said “I’ll pay for your breakfast”. My son liked him so much, he tried to follow him 😂. He didn’t have to do that! There’s some really amazing people in Houston. Not just because he bought our breakfast, but because he just felt like being generous. I have to pay it forward to someone today! All I know is that his name is Ken, he worked in the oil industry, he lives by City Centre in Houston, he’s around 60 something years old, tall, Caucasian, has two adult children (boy and girl), three granddaughters and drives a new Lincoln SUV. If anyone knows this guy, tell him “THANK YOU SO MUCH!”. Ken, wherever you’re at, keep being a positive light, we don’t get too many people like you!”

I went to this Denny's location around 3 AM a while back after missing the last Metro Bus #82 Westheimer going downtown. Luckily it's one of the few restaurants that is actually open 24/7. I was tired of walking around looking for a safe place to rest a bit and waiting for the buses to start running up again. When I first got there the host Employee at the entrance was very kind and understanding of my situation. I asked him if I could wait in the lobby for a bit and without a doubt he kindly said yes and not to worry. I felt bad since I wasn't a paying customer and lots of restaurants right away tell you to buy something or get out. I asked him what was one of the popular cheap breakfast items and he recommended chocolate chip pancakes. For around $5 dollars I got to enjoy the most tasty chocolate chip pancakes I have ever had in my life. If I am ever in the area again I will most definitely be coming back just for the hospitality and kindness shown towards me that early morning!

They were busy, which is expected on a Saturday afternoon. But our waitress ( i didn't catch her name, she was an older Hispanic woman) notified us that they were short staffed in the kitchen and it would be a wait for our food. We appreciated it. My son who is under the age of 2 however was not having a fun time waiting for food and our waitress was nice enough to bring us some fruit and goldfish to try and calm him down. When our food was ready. She even brought us a meal for him! And the food was spectacular! Hot and exactly what we ordered. When it came time to pay, she even took our payment up to the host stand and paid for us so we didn't have to stand in line with my cranky son. I'm so sorry I didn't catch her name but afternoon shift for 6/19. Thank you!!

I know they’ll know exactly who wrote this review as I was just there but let’s go ahead and get into it. I ordered the new Mac and cheese & brisket skillet. There was hardly any mac and cheese or brisket. 5 little cuts of brisket at most. My mother ordered a smoothie and it took forever to get brought out, as well as the extra brisket i asked for. It came when i was done with the toddler portion i was served. The so called “manager” had stopped by our table ONCE to ask if everything was okay. We said yes simply for the fact that we weren’t interested in saying anything but that’s until the $70 bill came to the table. Mind you the “manager” I called over was the least respected one by the employees as I had heard one of them disregard her request to check/clean a table and he said “that’s not my section” with the most attitude. When I explained my frustration she looked at me stupid and said “well that’s why I came and asked if everything was ok.” Girl, I’m telling you NOW that nothing was okay so I would of loved for her to not keep repeating that she came by ONCE like if that was going to change anything. She didn’t even apologize and even continued to make comments about how she’ll only take $4 off from the extra brisket.. it could of been a $1 and it still wouldn’t have changed my mind. She was not about to get the “well then don’t worry about it” out of me. There was another manager present and he did apologize for the inconvenience while she keep that dog face like if It was meant to intimidate us or something. So I understand why the employees seem to get irritated when she speaks. Oh and if you still decide to sit at this location, wear mosquito repellent because we kept getting bit by them throughout the whole time...

I recently visited Denny's in Houston with my wife and baby and I have to say, it was one of the most disappointing restaurant experiences I've had in a long time. My wife has specific dietary requirements and she requested no cheese in her omelette, as well as jalapeno toppings. Unfortunately, her order was completely botched. Not only did her omelette arrive with cheese, but there were no jalapenos as requested. The food quality was also extremely poor, with salty chicken that was almost inedible, cold biscuits that seemed like they had been stored in a fridge for too long, and gravy that tasted like it had been sitting out for hours.

To make matters worse, our waitress seemed completely uninterested in correcting the mistakes in our order. We had to ask for jalapenos multiple times, and when we pointed out the cheese in the omelette, the waitress offered to replace it, but at that point, we were so disappointed with the food that we didn't even want to bother.

Perhaps the most frustrating part of the experience was the attitude of the waitress. She seemed more interested in pushing us to leave a tip, despite the fact that the food and service were both terrible. When we declined to leave a tip, she became visibly upset, which only added to our frustration.

Overall, this was an incredibly disappointing experience that left us feeling let down and unsatisfied. We were hoping for a nice breakfast out with our family, but instead, we were treated to low-quality food and poor service. It's a shame that a restaurant chain as large as Denny's could produce such poor-quality food and provide such poor service. I will definitely never be returning to this Denny's location again and would caution others to...

I recently had a terrible experience at Denny's due to the actions of the manager, Diana. Despite being involved in a car accident and still making the effort to come and pick up my food, Diana refused to honor my request to have it reheated.

When I arrived at the restaurant, I explained my situation to Diana and kindly asked if they could reheat my food as it had gotten cold during my unexpected delay. However, instead of showing any empathy or understanding, Diana rudely dismissed my request and told me that reheating food was against their policy.

I was shocked and disappointed by Diana's lack of compassion and unwillingness to accommodate a simple request. As a paying customer who had already gone through a difficult experience, I expected a more understanding and helpful response from the manager.

Furthermore, Diana's attitude throughout the interaction was extremely unprofessional. She displayed a complete disregard for customer service and seemed more interested in enforcing arbitrary policies than in providing a positive dining experience.

I hope that the management take this seriously and addresses the need for better customer service training, as well as a more compassionate and understanding approach towards their patrons.

This Guy should be the manager ⬇️⬇️⬇️❤️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️ Overall, Carlos's exceptional service at Denny's left a lasting impression on me. His professionalism, attentiveness, and genuine kindness made my visit truly enjoyable. I highly recommend Carlos to anyone visiting Denny's, as he exemplifies the qualities of an outstanding server. Thank you, Carlos, for making my dining...
