The Fry Guys — Restaurant in Houston

Me and my girl love trying black owned businesses in houston and trying new foods. I thought I would love this place. Until.. me and my girl ordered our food and didn’t eat it. It did indeed come out fresh and the service from the workers are great. Now food wise the philly fries has a lot of fat on them and are unseasoned. While there melty cheese fries are overflowed with cheese and overcooked. The fries are no where as good as we thought. We didn’t eat the fries and they were thrown away by one of the workers. We then requested a refund which in the store and outside the store they have 0 signs that say no refunds. After speaking to the manager who happens to also be the owner she spoke with an attitude stating that we can’t get a refund after the fries weren’t eaten and they were thrown away by one of the workers. The manager stated she was on the way to the establishment to speak to us and after over 40 minutes of waiting she still never showed. To be honest this was a very frustrating experience and I will be going to a hire power about this company.

REPONSE! : Personally I would like to say. I have the video and picture of our food. No toppings literally 2 peppers on the philly fries with a whole lot of fat on the meat. No disrespect but it wasn’t the best simple. The meat was unseasoned and the fries I had was filled mostly with cheese and overcooked. I understood that you don’t give refunds for certain reasons. If I come there as a “difficult customer” as you say when we first entered we ordered and gave the staff no problem and even apologized at the end stating we meant no harm just was trying to get our refund. Something you continuously refused to give me when i stated the reasons we did not like the food and even stated that one of your workers took the food and said that we could get a refund. Now I know it would be a difference if you had a sign stating no refunds but did not. Pictures of that i have as well. I am not a difficult customer but paying $35 for food that wasn’t even consumed, you would understand why one is upset. Because the food has issues we continued to state we wanted to wait for you so we may resolve the issue. You never showed after waiting 40+ minutes. After speaking with someone who knows about businesses I decided to get the food worth the money we spent simply because you were wasting our time not showing up because you knew I wouldn’t back down about a refund. Again after getting those Buffalo Fries I took my photos and left. We have that food away because truthfully i’m not going to eat something I just stated had issues and was not good.
