I usually come to this restaurant very often with my boyfriend, and we always order the same thing — chicharrón frito as an appetizer and a whole chicken as the main. I always ask if they can cut the chicharrón, and the staff has always been very nice and accommodating.
Today (06/25/25) was different. We had a female server, and when I placed my order and asked for the chicharrón to be cut, she said she couldn’t do it. I explained that we always order it this way and it’s never been a problem before. She reluctantly said, “okay,” but she didn’t seem happy about it. I also made sure to tell her I wanted it frito. She showed me a picture, and I repeated, “Yes, this is fine, but make sure it’s fried, please.”
However, when the chicharrón came out, it was baked, not fried. I called her over and said this wasn’t what I ordered. She replied, “This is how it comes,” and walked away. A moment later, she returned with a male server, and he told us, “The chicharrón is already cut, so you have to eat it.” We were shocked — first, it was their mistake, and second, were they implying that this same plate would be served to another customer?
I calmly explained, “I’m sorry, I don’t want to cause any problems. We come here often and like this place. But it’s not right to make us pay for something we didn’t order and didn’t want.” At that point, both servers literally walked away with the plate, left it on our table, and ignored us.
My boyfriend very respectfully asked if he could speak with a manager. We were told, “There is no manager.” When he asked for a phone number, the server ignored him and walked away, leaving him standing at the counter.
This is the first time in my life I’ve been treated this way in a restaurant. It’s truly disappointing, and I can no longer recommend this place. We won’t be...
Read moreI ordered 2 cola de sancochos for pickup. The moment while I was driving home, the bag was starting to leak. Once I arrived home and opened the bag, there was more leakage, and it turned out to be that the two containers were slightly opened all along. The containers and foil plates outside were covered with grease that I had to rinse them at my sink and clean my sink. The sancochos was not well done as it did not come with cilantro on top, as that what a real sancocho was supposed to be served. I even got a stomachache.
So overall, I paid for spilled food, not serving the right plate, had to clean my own sink, and have an upset stomach. These people just want to make their money real quick and do not have consideration to check if everything was closed properly in the bag. I would give zero stars. I will give 1 star just because the salad was okay and would rather buy a container of salad...
Read moreI will start by saying the building is nice, but not the food, at least not what we experience, I walked in there at 9:45am to begin with I order 12 empanadas, guanabana juice but the guy was so distracted he gave me a maracuya oh a kids cup size which I let go. The empanadas came out so fast not even 10mins that the grease was dripping as I grabbed them, and on top of that I choked on a piece of plastic that came INSIDE the halfway cooked empanada. I’m Colombian and honestly this isn’t even near to Colombian food taste or quality. I was already far from this place to go back and say something but will pass this...
