Today on mother's day morning I tried to place a small simple order over the phone to avoid a line I thought it would be busy a guy helped me he kept asking me to repeat myself then his tablet stopped working and told me to "hold on "was left on hold for a while I called back and another guy answered with very little enthusiasm he put me on hold after i said" i wanted to place a to go order" and I waited for a while . I live 3 minutes away so I quickly arrived and it wasnt packed parked up front, walked up to the front counter the guy with braids was there i recognized his voice he was the same guy that put me on hold the 2nd time I told him "i have been trying to place an order twice on the phone and was left on hold, and that its not busy and whats going on?" he didn't say anything like he didn't care is what it seemed like, I placed my order and also asked WHERE IS "THE MANAGER ,IS THE MANAGER HERE" he said" "NO MA'AM" , then he walked away then a lady in a blue shirt came up and got my receipt gave it to me said "thank you have a nice day bye" and I said "I'm waiting for my food I just placed it and I would like to speak to a manager, is the manager here" "She said "SHE WAS THE MANAGER" and I told her "i tried placing an order twice on the phone and was left on hold and its not busy here whats going on?" She said" idk i need to find out who did that to you" then i saw her go to the back tell a hispanic guy something and she walked off into the kitchen area he was texting on his phone and he looked up shook his head no then came out to me and asked if i was the person on the phone I recognized his voice too i said "yes" he said his tablet stopped working and he passed me to someone and doesn't know what happened and apologized. I said "idk what's going on but yall need to do better" Then before i left the woman manager came out and gave me my food saying" just waiting on your fruit". I said "when the man with the braids was taking my order i asked "where was the manger AND is the manager here?" he said "no maam" and she just shook her head and sighed then went to go comfront him and then he came and gave me my fruit and said" you didnt say is the manager here, don't lie on me,you said where is the manager" FIRST OF ALL Even if he only heard "where is the manager ?" WHY would he respond with NO MA'AM? He went back and forth with me and the manager apologized for him HONESTLY thats SAD. It wasn't even busy and they couldn't take a simple to go order and left me on hold . They were not packed the parking lot wasn't even packed everyone there was seated and eating or waiting for food there was no line i saw some to go orders in bags ready to go idk what the issue was i never got that answer. No one said I'm sorry MA'AM we were busy either. It was like I was the burden when they burdened me with sorry service. I wasnt trying to argue with anyone and I certainly don't get anything out of complaining. I'd prefer to have a nice day like everyone els. This...
Read moreWOW!! This Denny's is absolutely top notch and a well-oiled machine! I dined here today by myself during a decently busy Sunday brunch crowd while taking a break from a day filled with errands and such. I was greeted fairly quickly and sat at the bar looking into the kitchen. When I walked in the door initially, someone had just gotten up from where I was going to sit, and by the time I got there, it was already bussed and wiped down! That already impressed me how speedy they are on cleaning and turning tables and seats. I kind waitress name Lourdes was immediately there to take my drink order and give me a menu with quickness and hospitality. While I was going over the menu, I was in the perfect seat to see what seemed to be a manager on expo as well as into the kitchen to see the cooks and lastly, see the servers running food. Firstly, the gentleman on expo/possible manager on duty is named Junior. It was amazing to see him work! He was giving directions and orders to the chefs and servers based on what's on the screen on his side, and the manner of which he did so was efficient and also did so with a smile on. What was extra amazing was that every time an order would come up to the pass from a cook, he would say "great job, keep it up" and "thank you (cook's name), let's get the next one." I see great leadership and appreciation for the staff while simultaneously creating a fun, fast paced work environment for the employees, which in turn makes a great atmosphere for patrons while dining, especially during a Sunday Brunch shift. He would also have quick witted passerby conversation with the rest of the staff while still making serving guests and To Go orders a number one priority. You have to enjoy your job and that's what it seems like this entire staff does while doing exactly what they are there for, feeding us hungry patrons! All the servers seemed happy to be there with smiles on and always moving. Even the cooks in the back were having a good time, laughing and conversing yet still knocking out tickets like it was nothing! My food arrived in less than 5 minutes and it was spot on! Just how I remembered an All American Slam when I was younger. I now dine at many high end, fine dining restaurants all around the city with tabs being upwards of $500 a person, but my $15 meal at this Denny's was almost more pleasant. I could go on and on, but thank you again to Junior and Lourdes for a great, simple dining experience on a...
Read moreHorrible! When we got there we were asked how many? The lady that was in the front which I thought was the hostess needed up being our server. From appearance and not greeting us I knew we were in there for a disappointment. I was right! The server had no enthusiasm or attentiveness whatsoever, different from other Dennys we have been to! Took out drink orders and took a while too! After we ordered, we noticed how our server went to the tables in the back of ours and started sweeping and being on her phone !! No gloves or nothing! She then proceeded to go get some of our food and by that time I was disgusted! It’s Mother’s Day so I don’t want to make a big scene! My son’s ham is so dry, I guess overcooked. After we’re almost done my other son shows me his sunny side up egg, it’s green on the side!!!! In disgust I called server and she asks: “what was it so they can remake it ,”and I said no! Give me the manager. Manager comes and looks at it and with disgust apologizes and takes it ! I got up to pay instead since I didn’t get the check or any plates picked up by the server. The ladies and manager up in the front all Hispanic like myself , told me that my son cut the egg with the fork which he had cut the blueberry pancakes with and that’s why the eggs had blue! She said that they get their eggs fresh!! Well, mam the color on the eggs were GREEN which is mold and old not BLUE! Also his fork which is what he used didn’t have no blueberry on it you can tell on picture! She basically called me a liar and this old lady wasn’t even the manager! Not only that but next to me was a man also returning his food which had something wrong with it! That’s embarrassing !!! They called the server,(which was busy taking to some employee guy) to ring me up! If not she wouldn’t even have noticed I was there. Her name was Ruby I believe. First and last time I go to this location. I wanted to have a nice Mother’s Day lunch and it turned into a nightmare!!! I hope my son doesn’t get sick...
