I came in here for brunch and ordered the pica pollo. When the dish came out, it had no sauce and I had to ask the server if he could bring the barbecue sauce for the meal. The jerk chicken was extremely dry and chewy, and you could tell it was sitting out for a long period of time. It tasted burnt. I didn’t wanna say anything because I hate being that customer But I ended up telling the server and they brought me more chicken, but that chicken was still really dry. I ended up not really eating my meal at all, but the beans that were on the plate were good. My friend also ordered a dish and she liked it, but it only came with four shrimps for a $20 dish and she had to ask for a sauce that was already supposed to come with the dish. They ended up not having that particular sauce so she had to go with a different sauce. The presentation of the food was lacking for her shrimp dish. I’ve been to the restaurant before and the food was incredible and the presentation was amazing, but I don’t know what happened today. I don’t know if I would even come back.

Just had the absolute pleasure of trying Flor y Miel, and I’m still thinking about it! I had mofongo for the first time, and it was bursting with flavor—comforting, savory, and everything I didn’t know I was craving. But what really made the experience unforgettable was the woman who served us. She was so kind and welcoming, it felt like we were stepping into her home kitchen. That warmth and care came through in every bite. Dominican food made with love—Flor y Miel is a must-visit!

Great atmosphere, very good service, very clean and open space. The food was very good, I had Tres Golpes and it was a lot of food for the price and location OMG. My hubby got Pica Pollo, white rice, beans and plantains. He didn’t like Chicken because he thought it will taste exactly like in DR, but everything else was great. I do believe they can improve on the pica pollo. Overall, great! I’ll come back to try other dishes. Also we got empanadas to Go and they were delicious.

I came here with a friend who is not particularly a fan of Caribbean cuisine, however she was absolutely blown away by the food and customer service! One of the chefs personally came out to greet us and give us our food and also took the time out to engage in conversation with us. You can tell the menu was really developed from the heart, and all the dishes we had were very flavourful and delicious. The oxtail empanadas were phenomenal, and the Rasta pasta is something we’ll definitely be craving when we head back to our respective cities. The chicken sliders were also delicious and full of flavour. We chose to enjoy some of the menu items on the patio but took a few other dishes home which gashed just as good hours later. We’d highly recommend flor y miel to anyone who is looking for delicious food full of flavour that...

I had the absolute pleasure of checking out the grand opening of Flor Y Miel Food Truck, and wow, what an unforgettable experience! Chef Flo has truly nailed it, bringing the vibrant and rich flavors of the Caribbean right to Houston. The food is just amazing—every dish is bursting with freshness and taste—and the atmosphere is so chill with warm vibes.

What makes Flor y Miel even more special is Chef Flo herself. She was super nice and easy to talk to, sharing her passion for cooking and her journey in bringing this fantastic food truck to life. I felt welcome from the moment I arrived and totally immersed in the experience. I can't wait to go back and savor more. If you haven't checked out Flor Y Miel yet, do yourself a favor and make it your...
