Great caribbean island cuisine. This was my first visit to this restaurant. I am glad I stopped by. The restaurant specialize in caribbean food that presents elements from a few caribbean countries. I tried the oxtails and rice and peas which takes me back to the island of Jamaica. The oxtails were well seasoned and cooked to a tender consistency. The flavors were great and well balanced. The rice and beans were well prepared serves as a great compliment to the oxtails with a little of the oxtail gravy as a true flavor enhancer. The meal was also served with pan fried sweet plantains and steamed cabbage along with mixed vegetables, both were well prepared and seasoned. The restaurant offers daily specials with is a great way to try the different flavors. Most menus items are front and center in a steam table set up. So there's no long waiting at all, which is a great choice if your on a short lunch break. I also tried the round bun for dessert. The bun was moist and full of spices that are indicative to the caribbean islands. The flavor combinations were great. I think the bun, would also pair well with coffee or a similar drink. The seating is limited but comfortable. The parking is limited but easy to access. The staff was friendly and helpful in answering questions about the menu items and had a great positive attitude. The restaurant had wonderful island type music playing in the background making me feel that I was in montego bay. The restaurant's wide variety of options would more than satisfy most individuals taste. I definitely would recommend this location if wonderful tasty caribbean food is what you're looking for...

The food I have to say was really not that bad with exception of a few food preparation choices the restaurant has made. I ordered the curry goat, which was delicious. However ever in eating it you will spend more time attempting to find the meat than enjoying it. They have chosen to cut the individual portions of goat into small pieces of meat on mostly bone. At the end of the meal I literally had a larger pile of bones than I had meat to eat. The plantains were flavorable but dry. They had been out too long on the heating table. But the worst part was the service. The woman that served me appeared rushed and impatient. Even after I made a hinting comment to her by saying “you seem pressed for time today...” she shot back with, I am very busy, I have a lot of other things to do. As a customer I felt she should not have allowed the frustrations of her work load show so poorly on her customer service skills. What is even worse is by her uniform she appeared to be manager. There’s also a refill charge for basic beverages like ice tea. Lastly, the music was blasting so loud that it was difficult for the person taking my order to hear me and me hear her. That and the fact that her caribbian accent was so fast and strong. This just added to the difficulty to understand her. She seemed to get annoyed that I had to ask her to repeat herself. There were 2 women who never greeted me when I walked in just stared and proceeded to finish their convo. Wasn’t really a big deal to me until the gentleman who came in after received a very nice welcome. Initially I ordered one large plate and one small plate decided to get 2 small plates instead and the lady refused bc she said she can’t take food out the plate. Ok ?? Is she not certified to handle food properly?? just make another plate I’m sure you guys lose food everyday but I would like 2 small plates however. The lady never looked me in my eye just rude and dismissive since I walked in. She took the large plate and gathered her things and went to the back im guessing she needed a break ? I asked for manager and she said she wasn’t in today. Ok even better I’ll talk to corporate so they can contact her for me then. The other lady who always has an attitude problem when I come to this location snatched the other plate and said we don’t have to serve you ma’am. Very rude I’ll never recommend this location to anyone unless they re train staff on etiquette and customer service.
