Ordered online and picked up food via drive thru. Everything was properly separated, utensils were provided as well as extras such as pickles, onions and jalapeños.

We ordered a baked potato with chopped beef, a dozen buffalo wings and a country fried steak plate with mac n cheese and mash as sides.

Baked potato with chopped beef was excellent. Price, serving size and taste is way better than Pappas BBQ. Hungry Farmer is not shy with the amount of chopped beef added.

The dozen hot wings were very tasty and even had grill marks which made them look very appealing. They came with some celery sticks and a nice serving of their ranch dressing. Most hot wing establishments these days are never consistent with the size of their wings. Some places don’t even inspect them to insure all plumes have been plucked before cooking.

The Country Fried Steak has a good portion to it and is served with a generous amount of gravy/sauce. The steak itself is nothing too fancy but it is very well tenderized and breaded properly. As for sides, you can’t go wrong with mac and cheese but I will probably order something else instead of the mash. They weren’t to my liking but that is just me I’m a bit picky when it comes to mash. I will go for the dirty rice next time. Also, this plate came with a piece of sweet cornbread to top it off.

Overall I’m very happy and satisfied with the service and the taste of the meals. I won’t demote a star for the mash, I’m just picky, but it still got devoured. I’m glad this location has a drive thru and speedy...

Had no idea that Hungry Farmer took over the space. I ate there once, under the previous tenant, I think it was Thomas BBQ, it was terrible.

I passed by yesterday and it caught my eye that there were 4 cars waiting in the drive-thru line … something I had not seen in the 10 years I’ve worked by this place. Then I noticed the name change and decided to give it a chance.

I opted for the ease of the drive-thru and after a brief wait behind 2 other cars, it was my turn at the speaker box. I ordered chicken-fried-steak, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese and a large sweet tea. The young lady working in the drive-thru was super sweet, courteous and professional. In a matter of moments, my order was bagged up and I was on my way back to my office to dig in.

The food: the large sweet tea was in a regular sized styrofoam cup that I’d guess was 16oz. So 12oz with ice. If I try HF again, I’ll pass on ordering a $2.95 beverage! The mac and cheese was hot, fresh and delicious once I added pepper to it. The mashed potatoes could have used more gravy and even though all of the items were in the same container, my chicken fried steak was only slightly warm - I’m wondering if the white cream gravy was cold when it was put on top the CFS 🤷‍♂️ cornbread was good.

I’m torn on this review. My meal was just ok. Think in the future, if I’m craving bbq or cfs for lunch, I’ll just hit Gabby’s...

Smelled great as I walked in. Otherwise, customers service was lacking. I said I have an order to pickup…Girl at the register ignored me until she finished whatever she was enthralled with. Then asked if she could help me. 🙄 No smile, no thank you come again, or see you next time. Took my payment, walked over to my food to put receipt in the bag, and said your order is ready right over here. Then walked off. I mean she wasn’t nasty, but definitely could have been different. No utensils in the bag. Food was pretty tasteless unless drowned in bbq sauce. Which I would rather not do. I had chicken, brisket, and sausage. All of these things could easily have a little bit of seasoning. The best part is that they advertise no preservatives and everything...

I went through the drive though. I have never been to this location but I went to the one that was in Missouri (Mo) City years ago. Of course, as typical with time you get less bang for your buck. I remember a muuuuuch larger potato. This was a potato good enough for me to go back. I will say I feel that they dressed it wrong. It honestly looked no so good to me when I opened it but once I pulled the layers of meat (pulled pork back) I saw that little bacon, chives, etc. One weird thing was that the pulled pork was in some type of gravy...instead of BBQ sauce. This wasn't a good taste for me but thankfully I had bbq sauce by me when I sat down to eat. That made it better.

Cleaned up, polished upgrade to the sad old Thomas BBQ location but despite the headgear the inside cashier/drive thru window person wore she had to turn around and yell at the kitchen crew to correct our orders. When it came out, my chili cheese fries were muy salty, it was the chili topping, the pork ribs were terribly overcooked and dry, nothing succulent here. I took one rib, seen in the photo, and gave the two others to my son as takeout. At least nappy ol Thomas had some moisture. Like Thomas, we were the only people there. Forty dollars of disappointment.

I grew up with Hungry Farmer (crosstimbers location) so I was spectacle about trying out this location. With my guard up, I stepped inside the restaurant and immediately notice how clean and organized the establishment was. Restrooms were like brand new. When I ordered the food, baked potato and loaded fries... they were served in big portions and the waiters were very kind and energetic. My wife and I were blown away from the experience and highly recommend new customers and customers from other locations.
