1 is too much, it should be 0 stars. My friends and I experienced a terrible experience that was very unprofessional and disrespectful. I went with 2 of my friends to party in sugar room on Saturday night (10/29). As we were inside, the security guard pointed at the area were standing in and asked my friend to "not stand in this area" for no reason, but anyways she complied and moved us to another area. The area he mentioned was directly to the left of the entrance door, next to the couch. Mind you, we always stand and dance in that area without bothering anyone. However, the place was overcrowded, therefore we kept getting pushed and eventually we got pushed back to the same area. This time, he came up to me and asked me once again not to stand there because I am "blocking the entrance" and he asked me to stand in the corner. Please keep in mind that we were not blocking anyone's movement, every single person was passing by normally without any hassle; the place was just overcrowded. But anyways, I complied (because we didn't want any trouble and I thought this would be for the best) and stood in the corner the security guard pointed at and continued dancing with my partner. I did not move from that corner and despite that, around 5 minutes later, I see the security guard ushering my friends and myself out of the place; he kicked us out and asked the bouncer not to let us back in again. This was highly disrespectful and to be honest we were all disgusted from this experience. We did not bother anyone, we complied to his commands, and just to note, none of us was drinking and despite all that, we got kicked out for absolutely no clear reason. The issue is not about which area we should/should not stand in, the issue is about the way this was dealt with; absolutely shameful for this place. It used to be my go to, however I will never go again, my friends included. Not recommended at...

While at the bar, I was simply standing and waiting because a friend was in the process of buying me a drink. The bartender approached in an unnecessarily aggressive manner, demanding to know why we were standing at the bar. I calmly explained that someone was purchasing me a drink, yet her tone and demeanor felt hostile from the start. I even remarked to her that she was being too aggressive, as it was clear her approach toward me was not friendly or professional. Following that exchange, I decided to grab a bottle of water from the bar area and informed her that I would be paying for it. Instead of handling the situation with the professionalism expected of a hospitality worker, she escalated it beyond reason. To my shock and complete offense, she told security that I was "acting too Black" and requested that I be escorted out. This statement and action are outright racist, discriminatory, and degrading. To imply that my behavior -- which was calm, respectful, and within reason -- was unacceptable simply because she chose to label it as "too Black" is blatant racial profiling. This type of racially charged language is demeaning, humiliating, and deeply inappropriate. Not only did it cause me to feel ostracized and ridiculed in front of others, but it also placed me in an unsafe and unfair situation by wrongfully involving security. What makes this even more disappointing is the fact this your establishment is known to have a majority of Black patrons who regularly attend and support your business. For one of your employees to weaponize race in this way, especially in a space where Black customers are central to the environment, is beyond offensive -- it is a betrayal of trust, a misuse of authority, and a serious example of...
Read moreI was there tonight. The bartender did not hear my order correctly. When I proceeded to tell her the correct order, she decided to snatch the card from my hand and charge me for the incorrect order. I have NEVER been treated like that at an establishment. Not only that, afterwards she decided to ignore me. I walked to the front of the business and told the police officers. They directed me to the staff. Afterwards a manager came out, tried to blame me for charges that were not mine. After explaining to her that I did not order those drinks she disappeared. One of her staff members asked why I was standing in front. I explained I was waiting for the manager to return my debit card with the comped charge. We had to go find her. When we did she did NOT have my debit card but another employee did whom we had to search for. The unprofessionalism that I experienced tonight is beyond the legality of precedents in how to deal with the situation. My debit card was forcefully taken from my hand and I was forced to pay for a drink I did not order for my friends and myself. My debit card was passes around as if my personal information did not matter. This issue must be addressed...
