⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An Absolute Gem – A Must-Visit Chinese Buffet! Lucky Village is hands down one of the best Chinese buffets I’ve ever been to! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warm smiles and attentive service that makes you feel right at home. The atmosphere is inviting and relaxed, with a charming koi pond at the entrance that adds a unique touch of serenity. Now, let’s talk about the food—absolutely delicious! Every dish was fresh, hot, and bursting with flavor. The selection was incredible, offering everything from classic favorites like General Tso’s chicken and dumplings to fresh seafood, sushi, and perfectly seasoned stir-fries. The variety ensures that everyone in your group will find something they love. What really stood out was the consistency and quality—nothing tasted like it had been sitting out too long, and the staff constantly refreshed the trays to keep everything top-notch. The dessert station was also a highlight, with a great mix of traditional Chinese sweets and American favorites. Whether you're coming with family, friends, or even dining solo, Lucky Village is an experience worth having. If you're a fan of great food, friendly service, and a welcoming atmosphere, do yourself a favor and check this place out! You won’t regret it.

I was in the area and wanted to do a follow-up visit on a calmer weekday lunch stop by myself. The first time was more of a celebration of life weekend thing. The following was from my first visit and I added my current opinion at the end. 1st - "Interesting Asian buffet. Extremely busy, lots of families with kids running around. The kitchen didn't seem to be able to keep up with refilling the steam table pans. Lots of choices and the taste profiles seem to match other Asian buffet places". 2nd - My updated review is different for sure. Everything above is the same but this time no kids running around, the taste profiles of the food do not match other Asian buffets being the food seemed extremely salty (which is what I thought the 1st time but didn't really delve deep enough because of all the people) and is now confirmed. I only had one plate and didn't go back for anything except a small helping of vanilla ice (no cream). I also didn't try any sushi nor anything fried so that may have been ok, idk. I live a good 25 minutes away and anticipate never stopping in again. They do offer military & seniors a discount.

Per the manager, "We have been open for over 20 years, and noone has complained."

Well, obviously there isn't anyone from this establishment/franchise who cares enough to read these reviews. Regardless, I'm complaining now....just as many others who have done before me.

I decided to take my two children to lunch today at Lucky Village. They wanted something different besides P.F. Changs. When we arrived, the entrance was warm and muggy, due to the door being open. We were greeted by the hostess with a straight face, asking if my party consisted of only us three. "Yes ma'am, " I replied. We were seated immediately. Before heading to the buffet line, I spent about 25 seconds fist fighting with a horse fly. That should have been a RED FLAG right there. The food was meh, "average", but my kiddos were impressed with the variety of selections. Before I went for dessert, my 7 year-old son warned me, "Don't eat the brownies with the sesame seeds on it, Mommy. There was a fly on them." RED FLAG#2. After the newness of the environment wore off, and our bellies were satisfied, I received the bill. I was charged for 2 Adults, and 1 Child. Hmmmm? I walked slowly to the cashier looking a bit puzzled, and notified her of the mistake. She pointed to a wall measurement along the wall and responded, "We charge by height." I tried to explain that I walked in with 2 children...a 7 year-old and a 10 year-old, not units of measurement. "We always charge like this. It's always been this way," she replied nonchalantly.

After asking to speak with the manager, I was directed to speak to a very degrading individual. The Asian woman informed me that I should have asked about the prices before I sat down to eat, because that's what she does when she goes to places. Clearly, this isn't about the money (in my case), but ok. Since this was a day of "advice giving", I gave some of my own. "If you have to go to places where you have to inquire about prices, you may not need to go there in the first place." I fired back at her. Then, she tried to elevate her vocals and advise me that I should have read the policy on the wall when I came in because I passed right by them. "Oh, you mean that policy?" I snapped back. "The one that's not clearly visible upon entrance, nor is it mentioned on your website, yet it's posted around the corner above the cashier's station when you exit?" Her EXACT RESPONSE, and I quote, "No, we don't put that on our website." Why not? You adorn your web page with pictures of the various food selections, your decor, etc. Why not inform the consumers that the real cost to dine at your restaurant comes at a hefty, hidden cost...their equality. Bottom line, this IS a form of discrimination, just the same as ageism, sexism, racism, and classism exists in our country. The manager eventually reversed the charges and reprinted a bill that reflected those in my dining party....1 Adult...

looking at the review of 3.9 you would expect something a little better than half decent but given this is my first time trying this place I would say it doesn't meet 1/4 way decent. I definitely will not be back. I would say my opinion would be not valid enough considering it is only my own but since my friend came along and agreed with me on all aspects I would say it adds validity to my opinion. The tea was old you can taste it, strike 1 . Next my journey to the sushi display only to find that it was all sitting and dry. If it were any drier I could use it to scrub the toilets. Next I decided to view the spring rolls only to discover the exterior rice paper wrapping sounded like carton box when tapping on it giving indication that it was almost equally as dry as the sushi. Strike 2 and 3 but yet I am a man of faith so I ventured to the oysters in half shell only to see what look like something that was beginning to break down. One would question if the oysters were even from the same day by the looks of it. So on to the potatoes which were somewhat tolerable but nothing that would convince me to go for 2nd round. The chicken wings were still pink and if they were any more uncooked I would say they wings were still flying. The beef ribs seemed to be maybe of interest until having taste something that seemed like that batch from the day before. I mean really there was nothing there that I could call tasty. I completely passed up all the fish because it seem to sit as long as the oysters. I will say so so was the broccoli chicken but the pizza would be an insult to any other pizza place including the sub par Little Caesar and Ci Ci's . I mean this pizza was so bad my Italian friend was in tears ! So to end I thought let me at least get something sweet to help my sour experience. Surely that can't go wrong , right ? Well well the saga continues with the flan that was off and the puff pastry which you would expect elasticity only to find something hard enough to chip a tooth. The only thing I cannot entirely complain about was the ice cream however considering everything else I would question the cleaning of that machine between ice cream batches. Who knows !! What I do know is that I will not be back nor would I recommend anyone to suffer the same consequence of the...

11/10/2018 When my friend told me to go out to eat,my first choice was this buffet.Once we got there I noticed the food was cold,I told to one of the workers and he told me to tell the cashier. I approached to the cashier and nobody was there I saw a guy standing close to the cashier and asked him,if he was working there,he said,Yes.Then I Mentioned to him that the food was cold,if there was something he can do so we could eat hot food.He looked and told me "the food has been there for few hours that's why is cold.He also said that it was only what they have to eat if I do not like it I should leave the restaurant and go somewhere else,he also said if I wanted something fresh and hot I was going to pay him a separate plate.I told him I was not going to eat for free,I was going to pay for the plate. If I go to a restaurant to eat I expect to eat hot food, not cold food,I was surprised the way he was talking to me,we had an argument,at the end he told me to get out of the restaurant and never come back.I asked him for his name,he did not want to say his name.He said he refuse to serve me, I was not welcome there. Before I left I was upset because the way he treated me I Told him he needed to learn how to treat the customer. He said I was not welcome there anymore if I go there again he said he was going to call the police on me.I told him to call the police,he said the only way I could get his name was to calling the cops,I took a picture of him and told him I was going to complain about it.Everything started because I told this guy the food was cold, they have the first front door open, when I was serving my food I could feel the cold air coming from the kitchen, probably they have the kitchen door open too. This guy is the manager of Lucky Village Buffet,he is so arrogant,I never had an issue before but this time I think he went too far.Im really...
