I have came to this location a few times now since moving to this area and have never had bad experiences. Today I went to get some kitchen stuff (lots of glassware). When I got in the line there were only 2 people in front of me, 3 total in line at the time. When I got to the checkout the cashier, Jackie, was not friendly at all on top of rushing me from start to finish at the register. The first thing that bothered me was getting called up to the register before the lady before me even started paying! While she was checking my stuff out she was seemingly very annoyed and unhappy at this job. She kept looking annoyed when she finished scanning and I hadn’t put more on the table for her yet. On top of being annoyed and unfriendly she also didn’t even bother to wrap any of my glassware. When I asked if they can be wrapped she then quickly open and shut her lower drawer and said “we’re all out” and continued to pack all my glassware together in the same bag. I asked her to check the other registers for some. She looked annoyed as she rushed to the other drawers and found one more piece of paper, I’m sure there was some in the back. I took both papers to wrap a delicate wine glass. The rest of the glass was put in the same bag to clink around on the way to my car. Still rushing me throughout the checkout process I settled with the glass situation but when it comes time for me to pay I tell her to please give me a minute I gave her some cash and told her one minute (I was splitting the total with my partner and needed them to send me their half), totally ignoring me she tells “next” to the other person. I take a step back because I was rushed the whole time already and now she has my cash in arms reach sitting out, and I still am waiting on the payment to be sent and still have to put my card info in. She could care less about customers comfortability or their security of personal information. I was really frustrated by the end of my experience in this store. I understand the stress of Ross and how hectic things can get there. That’s no excuse for no customer service skills or having no patience with costumers. I expect to be treated right by employees who are getting paid to be there. If you don’t like your job leave. I spent a good amount of time in this store. I spent MY time in this store to look around and shop their items. There’s no way jackie is promoting Ross in a good way. This experience made me want to take my business elsewhere. I’d rather shop higher prices elsewhere for the price of some customer service, respect, care, and comfort of shopping somewhere their employees actually care about their customers and their experiences. In the end I did talk to the manager who said she would talk to her. Who knows if the talk will make a difference, some people just aren’t capable of kindness and...
Read moreA nice clean place to shop. Sometimes parents let their kid run around like they’re not used to being in public even though employees make an announcement to keep your kids with you. When you have that many people shopping I know you don’t want to lose money because at Ross you never know what kind of deals you may find. Shoes can sometimes marked down so low, I tell myself I might have to sacrifice even though I have too many already. Sacrifice to get the shoes and then you find something else to buy. Ross is a good place to shop because you don’t have to walk into a giant store and get lost trying to find one item. Ross provides a small store with close to the same amount of item choices as a large store. Other stores have a lot of the same items while Ross have a few of each. Cool with me. I can go to another location and find the item if I’m lucky. Ross is kinda like a thrift store( not saying used). If you see something you want and contemplate, come back the next day it might be gone. It might be gone while you’re still shopping around. Been a Ross shopper since the Beechnut@ Gessner location opened. Sometimes I overspend and I keep my receipt. They have a 30 day return policy. I find it hard to return something because when you go back you find something else to buy and maybe end up keeping the item you wanted to return and purchase something else. They greet you as you walk in the door. The only store I know that does that. I don’t like being followed around when I go to shop. Ross doesn’t do that. The music they have in the background is always cool. I notice women in the men’s section often and ask myself,”why couldn’t I have a woman like that?” Sometimes they ask me to compare shoes. Which one do you think he’ll like? I give an honest answer. Some you guys owe me. I know kids will be kids but I prefer kids with manners, or a least parents who teach their kids how to act in public. Other than the kid situation, Ross still is my store...
Read moreI was third in line on cashier, a manager was standing with two other staffs chatting. I carried about 15 items so it really dragged down my arm so I started unclip the hangers. The manager shouted at me to put the hangers at a dedicated rack. I said I will do it later as I barely can move as freely. He repeated his request. I said if he is so as concerned, why didn’t he help the only open cashier lanes. I said she is a total hero. And guess what? The manager answered,”This people….” He started making lots of sarcasm statements about me. I was pissed and said back to him. What people??? He is basically race profiling people. I am a diligent person in general. I was trying to help the cashier by unclipping the hangers, not like him that are chatting with other female staff and do nothing. He even threaten me with security and wants to kick me out from the store. All that for two hangers. Ross needs to reevaluate that...
