MACARON by Patisse — Restaurant in Houston

I've been a long time customer with Macaron by Patisse. But I believe that my loyalty was taken for granted after this encounter with the MANAGER. I wanted to place an order for my 22nd birthday and have it shipped to South Carolina by Friday. Initially I called on Tuesday to place the order 2 dozen and I was told that I should order online one day before my event because it was one day shipping. I repeatedly told the manager that I would need them by Friday and I was led to believe that I could place my order online by Thursday. I placed my order on Wednesday afternoon online and by Thursday I was told that my order could not be shipped until Monday (after my event). I told the manager that I would like to cancel the order and she told me that be could be done online, which I found out that I could not do. I called the store once again and the manager refused to give me a refund because they just shipped it out even though it was 4 days after my request. I truly believed she never wanted the order to be cancelled. They had already taken the money out of my account. I had such a bad experience with a manager who ruined the desserts for my birthday and she even told me that she did NOT care about me writing this review. I ordered a Macaron Gift Box with a Personalized note as a graduation gift for a friend. When I came to pick up the online order, apparently it didnt go through properly because they said there was no order that was supposed to be picked up for that time. However, the guy there was understanding, and after showing him the digital reciept, he helped me pick out a new box of Macarons and threw in an extra one on the side for free. 😁 Some of the original flavors that I picked ran out, but they had some other nice flavors that i substituted for. I also got two extra Macarons to try out a few of the flavors and they were very good. I tried the Blueberry Vanilla Bean, Rose, and Red Velvet flavors. Personally, I liked Rose the best... The store looked really nice, and they had various Macaron Towers on display, although I think some of them may be custom flavors. The packaging for my box was really nice looks amazing as a present. Although the price is a bit on the higher side for me, I think they are great for certain occasions...

I absolutely love this place. I had never had a macaron before, and I saw this place and decided to stop by and try them. I fell in love immediately! I tried some more macarons from other places but they are not ever as good, like not even close. My favorite flavors are the raspberry, strawberry, fig and goat cheese(which I was skeptical about because I don't care too much for fig or goat cheese, but they are SOOO good!). My ultimate favorite flavor though is the passion fruit one. It is sweet and crunchy, but somehow still soft on the outside and the inside is a little tart so it is the perfect blend of perfection. The cream on the inside is so light and airy. I'm addicted! I get a dozen every time I go and eat the whole box before I make it home.
