Read morePlease note that I bought one tuna focaccia sandwich, two chocolate crack cookies, and one blackberry cookie at Foodieland inside NRG Park on April 7th, 2024. The gentlemen vendors were pretty persuasive at getting me to try new things (blackberry cookie). Please let one of the gentlemen’s wife know the focaccia was delicious and impressive at remaining airy.
As I am a value person, the tuna focaccia had the decent “bang for your buck”. The focaccia was not soggy from the tuna and kept its shape after an hour ride to North Houston. The size was about right for my dinner, as I ate it within 5 minutes. I appreciate the small slices of pickle that combined crunchy and tangy with fishy.
I gobbled down the chocolate crack cookies; that’s why there’s no photos of them. Tastes like a brownie, but in a cookie with a hint of expresso (if I’m not mistaken).
The blackberry cookie was okay. Not a fan of fruit cookies as the blackberries were sour from the sweet cookie, but the cookie itself was cake-like that I admire.
I look forward to visit Mama Fontana location when I travel...

The cheese melted (turkey sandwich) and the bread was warm and toasty. The next time we went we ordered all prosciutto sandwiches and asked for the bread to be warm or at least toasted. They said they don’t do that because the bread comes fresh out of the oven. That sounded great! But when the sandwiches hit the table they were refrigerator cold. This is such a great place, I really wish they’d accommodate for a hot or at least warm bread sandwich. We took a couple of friends who all said the same thing. We ended up wrapping them up straight away and just toasting...
