I was looking for a place where a friend and I could have lunch to catch up and found this place randomly. So glad we came here! My experience was great! To prevent other newcomers from making the mistake I did, it's an order first, then sit type of place. The staff was very friendly and helpful when I had questions.
I was originally going to order a slice, but ended up ordering a small pizza instead. I created my own with pepperoni, Canadian bacon, mushrooms, green & red peppers, and artichoke hearts along with a side salad. My friend got the one with all meats. The pizza was delicious! I ate the whole thing and didn't even feel overly full like I do with other pizza places.
After I finished, I went back up and ordered a tiramisu and a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon. I know, weird combination, but I wanted a glass of wine and some dessert. The tiramisu was oh-em-gee-tastic! Super creamy and super moist! I almost ordered another slice and am bummed I didn't. If you're a tiramisu fan, this is place to get it! I'm getting 2 next time!
Before leaving, I placed an order to go and let me tell you...my car never smelled so good! I ordered a lasagna, spaghetti with meat sauce, zuppa de mare, and a seafood pasta which I believe was called Zack's, but I can't remember. I approve all dishes! There's so much more that I wanted to try, so I...
Read moreI can’t believe this place has been under my nose for 33 years and I’m just trying it for the first time! Cozy Italian restaurant with booth and table seating inside plus a small outdoor seating. It’s a walk up order style but the bring the food to your table. Great service. I had the Caesar salad to start. They put carrot shreds in theirs. Interesting, as I’ve never seen carrots in a Caesar salad. It was good. For my meal, I had the Pasta Napoli. A zesty blend of basil sauce with a splash of alfredo sauce & fresh mushrooms. Served over ziti pasta. Bread is served with each dish. We also tried the fried mozzarella. These bad boys were huge! I have never seen mozzarella that big. Very tasty! The atmosphere is charming and the service is terrific! We met the owner, “Papa Zack”. He was very friendly and dubbed his food as “Texas Italy” because the portions are so big. They truly are big. I had 2-1/2 meals off mine. The pizza at other tables looked delicious and I can’t wait to try their soups. Will return soon! Apparently, Papa Zack is adding burgers to the menu. There’s a small space to the right of the main restaurant that will be for burger orders, as best I can tell. If he does Italian food this good and adds burgers, this place will be unstoppable! I will want to try the new...
Read moreHusband and I had calamari which was fishy, meat lovers pizza which was worse than frozen, and chicken alfredo where chicken was like rubber. We didn't finish our meals and on top of that got food poisoning!! Talked to the owner "papa Zack" and he immediately got defensive and implied we were lying about getting food poisoning and how "tons" of customers love his "fresh" food. Completely absurd literally not one other diner at this place when we were there and felt like a kitchen nightmares episode. He said if he had a dollar for every time someone had a complaint he'd be out of business refunding everyone, that should tell you something! Very rude, unprofessional, and doesn't deserve 1 star. He doesn't issue refunds according to him and offered a buy 1 get 1 half off but also said we shouldn't visit his restaurant if we think his pizza is frozen. As if after having vomiting and diarrhea we'd ever return!! Steer clear! You've...
