If I could give this location a negative star I would. My wife and I placed an online order for breakfast here on Saturday morning to pick up and bring home. I went in there to pick it up and was told by the lady at the counter that I had to "go through the drive through to pick up my order". I thought that odd since I had never heard of any restaurant requiring a customer to use the drive through to pick up an online order. Thinking I had misunderstood, I asked her to clarify that statement. I never really got an answer because she suddenly decided that she had no idea what I was talking about and proceeded to simply walk away without even trying to sort out the issue.
At that point I asked for the manager, thinking that I might finally make some headway in getting this weird issue resolved so I could go home and eat breakfast. Nope. As if the front counter lady's incompetence wasn't enough, the lady who claimed to be the manager made her look like a seasoned restaurant professional. She not only never addressed the weird drive through issue but proceeded to tell me that she had no idea where my order was. I even showed her the order contents and payment receipt on my phone. When I did that I guess she finally figured out that what I was telling her wasn't something that I just pulled out of my * and it might just be a legitimate claim, she changed her excuse from "I don't have your order" to "you must have sent it to another location". Getting extremely annoyed by this point I showed her on the receipt that I was indeed at the right address and, therefore, location. This seemed to fluster her to the point that she too joined the other lady in simply giving up and walking away.
I finally got fed up and decided to go elsewhere to pick up breakfast. The surreality of the whole situation was just getting to be too much for me. I didn't want to deal with anyone at that McDonald's ever again so I asked her to either give me my order or a refund. I figured once money was mentioned she'd straighten up and do the right thing. Nope. Nothing changed. The only thing that was said from that point on was that my order is at another location. I normally would have given that excuse a reasonable shot at being the truth but this "manager" lady never once looked at the register or anything like that to try and verify that I wasn't just making all this up. Her only goal at that point was to frustrate me until I left. Well, it worked so I did. I left.
I went home and immediately called their corporate office to let them know what kind of people are running that location. They didn't sound pleased but who knows what, if anything, will be done to correct the behavior of these two employees at that location. Probably nothing but neither my wife nor I will ever set foot in this McDonald's ever again. We will also make it a point to let as many people as possible know about the toxic atmosphere...
Read moreAll of the franchise McDonald's locations owned by the people who own this location have the same, insane, problems. No matter what day of the week it is, every single night, at this location, and at all of the others that are owned by the same people, (I will add a comprehensive list to this review soon, but I know for a fact include the location on N.Main @ 45 and Hwy 6 @ Bissonet) from about 2:30 a.m. until well after 5 a.m., the first thing they tell you at the window is: "Breakfast only and cash only, our system is down." Every night, heh? System down every night? I'd say it's time for a new system, heh?, Whattaya think? They then proceed to overcharge you, refuse to provide a receipt, and, on top of it all, short you on your change, claiming a national change shortage, but give you quite a bit of trouble if you attempt to pay them with exact change. Bottom line: The people who own this place are dishonest, they treat their employees like chattel, they cut corners at every turn, and the food quality reflects all of the aforementioned. Hold these people accountable. Do not call the number they have posted at the drive through windows, as it is just the number for the franchisee's corporate, head office, meant to head off complaints and reports to Corporate at the pass. Don't let this trick fool you. Call mcdonald's corporate directly and report the problems you personally have with this location, and I will do the same. Before you begin to submit your formal complaint, Write down all of the horrible things that they do in a list format, so you won't forget to include any of the myriad violations of corporate policy, or just basic human decency, that the franchise operators of this location, and ALL of the other locations operated by this franchisee, perform with wanton disregard for their franchise agreements or the...
Read moreI have frequented this establishment for around 8 months, off/on, as an experiment and a break from my pescatarian regimen. The food is what you would expect from McDonald's, however, the customer service and/or friendliness from the staff is undesirable. My last experience at this specific location had me understand fully my stance on how good attitude and character are intensely lacking, broadly, in businesses where customer service is paramount. It seems that because of the Monopoly that McDonalds has in the fast food industry that "some"of the staff believe they are safe to bring their negativity and prejudice to those they feel are deserving of seeing their true colors. I can't speak for others, but I can say that I am genuinely kind to those in this industry, however, even I have been treated rudely by some of the staff members at this location. It did not matter if it was at 5am, 10am, 4pm, 9pm or midnight, I do not ever recall one single pleasantry from a staff member, but I do remember lack of eye contact, evil eye/glares, rude tone of voice and/or a general lack of customer service with a smile. The prices go up, but the quality of food seems to go down and negatively effects our health. The wage goes up and the quality of service goes down. This cannot persist or sustain. BTW, I was concerned with the quality of the "milky" beverage I ordered as a late night treat and I threw it away. What a waste of money, a short term damage to my health that should have at the least been enjoyable and a disappointment to the future...
