Munchies La Mangonada Refresqueria — Restaurant in Houston

There didn't seem to be much on the menu so I asked the lady behind the counter if they have agua de horchata. She hesitated and then said yes and listed out all the other aguas that they have. I ordered a large agua de horchata. She grabbed what seemed to be the only size cup they have and walked to the back kitchen. She was taking a while, and we heard the blender, which I thought was odd. She came back to the counter after a while and handed us a white slushie/smoothie. I asked her in Spanish "Oh, so you don't have agua de horchata?" She hesitated again and said "Yes." I just looked at it then back at her and repeated "No, Agua de horchata, not a smoothie." And she replied "This is agua de horchata. We make it fresh." Which makes no sense because agua de horchata is not supposed to have the consistency of a slushie; it's a liquid drink like water (hence the name agua, which is Spanish for water). I spoke to the lady in Spanish the entire time, so it wasn't a misunderstanding or a mistake. She simply lied to make a sale. If you don't have an item, that's fine, but don't lie to your customer's face. My husband didn't want to make it a big deal, so he paid and we walked away with it. After tasting it though, he agreed it was a waste. It was nasty and was definitely not homemade. She probably used the packaged powder flavor and blended it with water and ice to make the slushie. The lady over charged me and didn't realize till i got home with no receipt. I ended up paying $66. I did the math when i got home and in looking at the menu and over estimating on the cost. It came out to a total of $42. There was only one employee so it took forever for the order to get prepared. The menu items should also state what the meal consists of. We ordered a menu item and it came with corn. We didnt like the corn on everything we ordered. The menu items dont describe exactly what the item consists of. They didn’t have multiple things that we wanted. All their prices are written on top of the printed price, so some are hard to distinguish. The stick they used for the corn, was SO flimsy, it felt like it was going to break in half. The two workers there were friendly, but one of them wasn’t too knowledgeable about the ingredients in the different snacks I asked about.
