Title: Exercise Caution: Safety Concerns at This Establishment
Review:
I recently visited this establishment and sadly, my experience was marred by a highly distressing incident. As I was leaving the premises, I witnessed a shocking event where an individual was targeted and robbed at gunpoint. This unfortunate incident has compelled me to share my concerns about the safety of this establishment's parking lot and surroundings.
It is important to note that this incident does not reflect the establishment's management or staff, who may have little control over criminal activities that occur outside their premises. But who knows maybe it was an inside job. However, it is disheartening to think that such incidents can happen in the vicinity, as it raises questions about the overall safety of the area.
While I understand that no place is entirely immune to criminal activity, it is crucial for visitors and patrons to exercise caution when frequenting this establishment. I strongly advise individuals to take extra measures to ensure their personal safety, such as being aware of their surroundings, avoiding isolated areas, and traveling in groups if possible. Utilizing well-lit paths and staying vigilant can go a long way in minimizing potential risks.
It is my sincere hope that the establishment's management and local authorities take proactive steps to address safety concerns and collaborate on implementing effective security measures. This would not only help protect patrons but also foster a more secure and enjoyable environment for everyone.
In conclusion, based on the unfortunate incident I witnessed, I feel compelled to caution others about the safety concerns surrounding this establishment's parking lot and vicinity. While I acknowledge that unforeseen incidents can happen anywhere, it is essential to prioritize personal safety and remain vigilant when visiting...
Read moreNara is easily one of the best resto-lounges in Houston, if not THE best. Their level of commitment to consistency and quality is truly amazing.
I’ve been coming to Nara for a little over 8 years now and without fail, my food, hookah, & the service have been amazing every single time. Their staff is fast, friendly, and efficient and many of them have been with Nara for years, greeting and busing the welcomed chaos.
Nara is also open (basically) 24/7. They close at 6am and open back up at 10am (sometimes earlier). 99% of the seating is the table/chair style of seating but there are SO many outlets and their WiFi is fast, so this is a GREAT spot to just come and study or work for a bit. It’s pretty peaceful in the day time so that helps as well!
Even on Friday & Saturday nights, as well as game nights, Nara gets packed but the wait time isn’t too bad. They try to accommodate everyone in a timely manner and the patio seating also gives us the option to be in a less smokey environment.
The food is soo good! They have plenty of food options for even the pickiest eaters. Their menu consists of American, Mediterranean, Italian, and even some Indian dishes. They also have some off menu dishes available. And if you’re eating healthy but don’t want a salad, there are delicious options for you as well!!
They do allow families and children, but I would recommend maybe sitting outside if you decide to bring your little ones. It can get extremely smokey inside, especially when there are a lot of people. Sometimes it looks like there is a literal cloud inside the restaurant lol
I definitely recommend everyone trying Nara at least once. Whether if you’re visiting Houston and want a place to chill, or you’re looking for a good...
Read moreThe food is good. Convenient morning hours for hookah. But, the service sucks. The music is choppy I guess the speaker is broken. And they add gratuity on everything. Your server will ask what you want with a straight face. She will take forever to bring you your order and have an nonchalant/annoyed attitude the whole time she's serving you. I promise I did not feel welcomed. At. All. I literally once went there for a regular hookah, a tea pot and water and she gratited me. My whole two hours sitting I only got one serving of coals for hr and a half. I had to ask three people to send someone to me because my server couldn't be found. The sad part about it is that I was by myself so I'm not understanding where I was being overlooked and not given superb hospitality. This place truly has much potential for people who love hookah as much as I've learned to, it has great hours. In the morning to afterhours. There's enough space for everyone with reasonable pricing. But again the service and the abuse of gratuity is why I won't be returning and why many people won't. You don't grat someone for water and tea. You don't serve someone coals once when they're smoking hookah for 2 hours. You shouldn't hire stale and miserable people for servers. Fix your speaker and get a new playlist because Taylor Swift and Justin Beiber is definitely not the vibe in the area you're located. Especially when it's off of your employee's phone and half way through the song the speaker stops for 10 mins in 20minute intervals only to restart the song that didn't get to finish playing. N E R V E RACKING. I wish your business the best... it is a nice...
