Ordered two vietnamese BBQ Pork sandwiches. One had a TINY piece of pork. Meat was boiled, not grilled, and had a weird smell. Not one ounce of char or grill to the meat. The other sandwich had at least 4 small pieces. Had iceberg lettuce, a sprig of parsley, tomato & thousand island type sauce. No traditional cucumbers, carrots, or sweet vinegar brine. Very very odd. I ordered 2 dinners of BBQ pork & and rice, other with qvermicelli with fried egg on both (an upcharge). The one with noodles was missing the egg & the noodles were stuck in a sticky lump (like wayyyy over boiled spaghetti). NOTHING else was in the box. It was over $60 for all four. I was HORRIFIED. Each dinner had MAYBE 1 ounce of meat each MAX. All boiled, not grilled, with the same weird smell. The photos online from other customers look like a 5-star restaurant. I am so confused. The sandwiches came with chips, rice dinner had cucumbers & and tomatoes. Fish sauce was 80% water. ZERO soy sauce, Sriracha, or chili oil. My husband had overboiled noodles and boiled meat. I gave him my egg to make it palatable. We were in a hotel and for the next two days he was telling everyone about the horrible food. Sorry, as nice as the little girl that took my order was... we will never be back.

It's was a quick stop, and I was craving Pho. First time coming in and place looked very clean. Server was prompt and very kind. I ordered the D1- Beef pho with steak, flank, tendon, and tripe. Started out beautifully; broth was flavorful, it had lota.of meat and noodles. Then I noticed the meat had a metallic rainbow look to it. That is never a good sign when it comes to meat preparation. I was already halfway through the bowl by the time I noticed it. Couldn't continue after. I didn't say anything b/c nothing goes right when you try to bring something like this up. Sorry to say, I do not think I will be returning.

A hidden gem! Do not be deceived or put-off by the looks of this place. Vinyl table clothes just add to the ambience. The food is delicious! If you go during lunch, there are many bowls to choose. While you're enjoying a bowl of pho, order a traditional Vietnamese coffee, too.

Friday (aug 23) my gf and i ordered crispy chicken and the shrimp with vermicelli noodles. it was a little odd because they sent an additional order of some odd chicken dish. at first we shrugged it off as a pleasant surprise. our food was okay, nothing impressive. i decided to save the mystery chicken addition for dinner today (sunday) i reheated it in my microwave and found the chicken had this weird...crunch to it. there was plastic wrap UNDER the breading of the chicken. it was deep fried plastic in the chicken. Absolutely unacceptable. How do you deep fry a piece of chicken and not notice a sheet of plastic wrap on it?!

We will never go to or order from this place ever again. Be warned for...

Wow this place the food is terrible. My wife and I love Vietnamese and Thai food in this is probably one of the worst I've had in awhile. Vietnamese and Thai food usually has some bold flavors. I can only imagine people to give this a 5-star rating are people that don't like seasoning. If you like Mexican food like Chuy's or Lupe Tortilla this is not the place for you. If you like Lunas or some equally Bland Mexican food place you'll love this place. Pho yen in Friendswood is way better than this place if you're looking for an alternative. And while I'm at it the best time for my wife and I have ever had is Thai Jasmine. And those of you that have read all of this good luck to you on your journey...
