For my first visit to this restaurant, I mistakenly chose sushi. My meal consisted of saba nigiri (sushi), shiitake nigiri (sushi) and the softshell crab roll (spider roll). Saba (mackerel) is my favorite type of nigiri. This saba, however, was cooked, hard, and had a mildy unpleasant flavor, not normal for saba, at all. The shiitake nigiri had potential, but was served so cold it hurt my teeth (I do not have sensitive teeth). The shiitake nigiri would could have been very good if it had been served at less than frigid temperature. The spider roll wasn't bad, but it was pretty clear that the Hispanic "sushi chefs" behind the counter may not have ever had quality sushi in their lives, or they were deliberately choosing to provide a sub-quality product.

I can't speak to the other items on the menu At Tokyo Bowl, since I have yet to experience them and probably won't be back to do so. But if you choose to eat here I recommend ordering something other than sushi.

They get 2 stars because I didn't get sick...

My family has been coming here for years. We've finally had the last straw. The last few visits have been the worst experience ever. Our server, named Anna, forgot our order not the first time she's done this. She talks your ear off then forgets to do the one thing she's paid to do, put in the order and check on the table. Luckily other servers helped us. However when we spoke with the manager he couldn't careless. He didn't even want to listen to us about our concerns. Which really upset us because weve been supporting their business for years. When we asked for our check the prices had gone up yet again. They say it's because of covid, but prices have been going up to save their failing business before the pandemic started. When we asked them about how everything was going, the manager didn't care to have a conversation with us his attitude was give me the money hurry and leave. Never...

Absolutely amazing restaurant! Ones of our all time favorite restaurants. Superb service, friendly and attentive staff not to mention absolutely delicious food! Their Sushi is some of the best we’ve had! The tempura is flavorful, light and crispy. One of our favorite appetizers are the green dumplings. Soooo good! The miso soup and salad are always fresh and delicious! The cozy decor and authentic food make it worth coming back over and over! It’s so cool to see all the astronauts photos who have visited the restaurant hanging on the wall. Oh and I forgot one of my favorite garnishes....the teriyaki sprouts and veggies....so deliciously addictive! My family and I highly recommend Tokyo Bowl! The owner even gave our son a free Japanese strawberry soda! Such a nice gesture and gave him the chance to try something new! Don’t think twice about eating here, it’s an awesome place,...

First time back in nearly two decades if memory serves right. Food hits just right for the price, and their location is ideal for neighborhood. Was turnt off by their hostess? Sat us down and for the lack of a better term purposefully threw the menus and straws in a, "I don't want to be here, but I'll playfully show you how much I don't want to be here attitude." As if we would find humor or sympathy in it. Our dinner party all looked at each other in bewilderment. The other waitstaff/owner who mostly served us after the fact were phenomenal! Loved their katsu curry! I am looking forward to revisiting for more comfort food.

Overall, nice spot! Got the sushi and tempura lunch box special and an order of takoyaki for about $30. The takoyaki tasted good. It was warm and chewy, with a good piece of octopus. The Sushi was probably the best part, as it was fresh, with nice, chunky pieces. The tempura was okay. Not too crispy by the time it was at my table and two pieces of shrimp didn't feel too satisfying for the price. Still a relatively solid spot for lunch however, with great service and nice ambiance.

This place is a favorite! I love the papásito roll (fried) Im new to sushi and that roll is so goooood. I also get their hibachi chicken, and actually mix it together since they separate it all. The only downside is that if you get a roll and lunch meal you will average spend $18+ for each person, so yes a little pricey. The shaggy roll (non fried) was okay but no contender for the papasito roll.
