food and drinks were good but the hostess was so unbelievably rude and pissed off everyone in my party. It was cinco de mayo, when we walked in and said 10 people the hostess (she was wearing a big bow) rolled her eyes and said you’ll have to wait. Thats understandable we have a big party. There was a big booth that would’ve fit ALL of us that was empty, we asked if we could just sit here and she sassily said “we can’t fit 10 people here, you’ll have to sit outside”. We were already turned off by that response bc we’re all small people, maybe bc she’s big and she could fit only 4 of her but whatever. she said she could seat us outside, it’s pouring and it could hold only SEVEN people and four of the seats were exposed to rain. Another waitress comes up and says “I can seat you inside I’ll help you guys out” which was so nice of her, and she wanted to seat us in that previously empty booth THAT I ASKED ABOUT. surprise surprise the HOSTESS seats only TWO people there and those 2 people have so much space too. The waitress looks confused and says don’t worry we can wait for the next party to leave. The next party leaves (in the same size booth as the first one) and she tells us to sit, but as we’re going there the hostess stops us and says she’s seating two people there and to wait (MIND YOU THERE WAS A WHOLE SMALLER BOOTH FOR FOUR PEOPLE WIDE OPEN), and then she sits the two people there which again was way too big for only 2 people. Then the waitress sees that and idk what happens but she moves the 2 people so that our party could finally sit there. I don’t know why the hostess was such a b word and made it so hard for us to sit there when the waitress happily sat us there and actively tried to help us. And guess what - WE FIT 10 PEOPLE. Terrible service from the hostess, don’t know if she has a vendetta against us or something but she must be spiteful or just plain out dumb. So rude too, never gotten such bad experience from a...

Food was really good across the board. Upper crust tex mex you could say. My wife got onions in her barbacoa, I got salt rimmed on my margarita. Hers was fixed expeditiously and friendly, I had a straw so I didn't care.

Service was great, wait staff was friendly and attentive, and again quick and friendly to respond to minor issues.

My issue lies with parking. First off, it's "complimentary" parking. On Friday there were several of us that dined at the long table in the middle of the restaurant , males and females. I was told by at least 2 females that they were told by parking attendants that "parking was free so long as they were 'taken care of'" at the conclusion of the evening. That's unacceptable in every single context imaginable.

My other issue, is I come outside at the end of my evening, and I'm standing around. Nobody's around. My car is parked 10 feet to my right when I come out the door, so I can't leave, or so I thought. I go over to the podium where the keys are stored, and whaddya know, my keys are not only not locked up like they're supposed to be, they're ON TOP of the podium, clear as day for anyone to help themselves to a free Honda.

I loved the establishment, but unless I can find a curbside parking spot like my wife did, or they eliminate that sham that is the valet service, I won't be returning.

First time I've ever been to an establishment that I didn't want to return to, based on something that had nothing to do with the performance of the establishment...

We went last night and there were 12 of us, so 10 of us sat on one table and 2 on separate table. GM Joel even told us the city regulations bc of COVID, which I understand, but I had to tell him to lower his voice bc he was causing an unnecessary scene. The problem was 3 other people showed up later and even though they were part of our party, they were told to wait in line and get their own table. I brought this up to Joel and he said no they need to wait in line like everyone else, but they are part of our party and they can sit with the other 2 people. I told Joel he will lose business operating that way, and he said oh well that’s ok.

I had arrived late to another restaurant another time with another party and I was allowed to sit with them, actually this happens several times. We cannot expect everyone to show up at the exact same time, it makes no sense especially if 80% of party is already in attendance.

Basically do not go here if you have a big party to sit, 100% of your party must be present.

We waited over an hour for a table, but its also a busy day since it's Taco Tuesday and tacos were $1 but they are tiny, not worth the wait at all. I suggest big parties go to bigger places, but not here.

If you are less than 5 people then go here but they have long lines on Tuesdays, and there are so many better places to have tacos, not sure about rest of the week but definitely avoid Tuesdays,...

So I'm from San Antonio. Houston is my home now for 4 yrs. and I love this city! But...when it comes to great tasting authentic Mexican food, well that's hard to find. Yeah they all say authentic, but it's not when it's an Asian or Caucasian person in the back making flour tortillas by a tortilla maker. Ha! I know authentic and let me tell u, the food looks good and tastes even better. The enchiladas, the beans & rice are fresh and full of flavor. But if you haven't had great tasting barbecoa, u gotta have Pistoleros' barbecoa. My god, the first bite took me back home when my buelita(granny) would make everything from scratch. And the "postres" made by a true master chef in "tres leches" along with her other fabulous pastries. Visit this fine tequila bar and down a shot recommended by out skilled tequila experts. Don't u dare ask for a Pina Colada or a Daiquiri, no no no, that will get u sent home disappointed. So I say bring a friend and enjoy the ambiance. Whatever for the 5 stars, I say 5 jalapenos!!! Enjoy and be safe.

It was okay. Nothing special the taco had no flavor the corn was very spicy the greeter and waitress were both nice. When I entered, I asked the valet guy how much valet was (it was my first time and I didn’t know there was no street parking but also the valet lot was empty as it was 4pm on a Monday) he said: “whatever you have $5, $10,$100” and I said I only have $1 where else can I park? And he said you need to park here there’s an atm inside (And kept my son’s car open standing next to it so I couldn’t leave if I wanted to.) the problem was, I didn’t have my debit card to get cash, I had literally just gotten off the phone with chase to send me another card bc mine was expired. I told him that and he was pretty rude. I said I would get him next time but after that whole experience I probably wouldn’t go back. I understand that that is how he makes his living and I would have been more than happy to go back the next day to give him more but I am probably not going to put that kind of effort forth when someone is rude.
