The reason for one star is the experience I had with management. 1st, the food was tasty although I can tell it’s a lot of premade items that are fried. Everything came to the table in a timely manner. The have management come around to see if all is well with your food. THE ALCOHOL. I started drinking, I got through my glass rather fast, it tasted so amazing. Then I began to get sick. I flagged down a man that told me he was the GENERAL MANAGER. This man was so damn rude to me, he talked so loudly to me the customers were all stopped and eyes on me. He told me I insulted his restaurant by calling the alcohol cheap, Ive had this happen numerous times, I know what I’m speaking of.2018 my abdominal wall ruptured. My intestines fell through a hole inside of my stomach, the hole was unable to be closed by surgeons, I now have a hernia mesh placement. This happening to me has in turn made me highly sensitive to cheap alcohol. I was so embarrassed at this burly man standing over me, talking over my food(I covered with a napkin because he seemed to like talking over my plate). If your restaurant has an issue with customers that can’t eat and drink anything, you all should put that on your website. I traveled from Fulshear to check on Preslee’s also eat & drink. Your “general manager” only gave me the option to change out the cheap tequila with Don Juilio for $46, he grinned so mischievously and laughed right in my face. I strongly think a lot of men are having issues with black women and how they are treating us. That man had no right or any realms in professionalism to handle a customer like that. We LOVE our black owned businesses! And if you rather me go there then just say that versus getting me into a restaurant where bottom barrel alcohol is being served, I get sick and your bouncers embarrass me for damn near dying from a ruptured abdominal wall…I’ll come back with my own liquor since it’s unavailable at...
Read moreNothing to write home about for sure, the food was decent for its pricing. I personally had the fried fish basket and a side of gumbo as well. The appetizer platter was maybe the best part. We went during happy hour and well it didn’t seem to happy.
There’s a order window but you can’t place your order there if you have a open tab, be warned. If you would like to order and cash out then the regular order counter is for you, but guess what there’s nothing to inform you of this until you place a order only to be told it has to be done at the bar top.
The guy behind the bar has a “meh” aura to him, he asked me politely to wait while he was helping other guest which i had no issue with I sat and waited for about 10mins while he did he dealings with previous customers. When he approached me, he rushed me to make a drink order because he was concerned about making sure all the other patrons he served before me could hurry up and get another round before happy hour ended. Once I told him I had more than one drink order and I would like food, he looked at me as if I called his mama a name or something. Instead of taking my food he told me to wait so he can close out happy hour drinks🤷🏾♂️ only seconds later to pass me by without grabbing my order to help some other gentleman who clearly was after me in line who he appeared to be on a first name basis with. He took his entire order and the gentleman received his entire order to include drinks before me.
The whole ordering system, along with the oh-so happy bartender who loves his job killed the vibe for me. The place is rather tiny inside, the lot itself is very small as well and if not careful the driveway is easy to miss as well. If you miss the driveway good luck getting turned around...
Read moreGiving 2 stars due to the actual food taste. I went to Preslee’s 2/23 around dinner time and my experience was not great.
I went with 4 other friends, we waited approx 35 mins to order at the kiosk, which wouldn’t have been a problem if the line was big, but IT WASNT. Every order took minimum 4-5 mins for no reason as the cashier kept running to the back, for God knows what. We then got a number to take back to our table corresponding to our order
Once we order, it all goes downhill from there. I go to the bar and it literally takes 20 mins to flag down a bartender. Ok- moving on, we sit down and after 30 minutes, we notice a waiter circle and circle around with a large tray of food, looking for a number. not ONCE does he look at our table to see our number. we finally chase him down and ask what number he's looking for and its ours. Obviously with 10 mins of circling around in cold weather, it’s going to make our food cold.
All in all, I was very disappointed. Although the food was good when I finally was able to reheat it at home, it was nothing out of this world. I didn’t dare complain at the restaurant as I would’ve had to wait another hour to get it reheated 🤣
In the competitive dining industry of Houston, this place needs to do better. I am also not knocking entirely on their staff, as I also saw another patron yell at them for taking so long too, but this place just seems poorly managed. Would...
