I'm sorry to say that this was the worst Sonic experience ever. Not only was it the worst sonic experience ever it was the worst fast food experience ever. When pulling up to the establishment, I notice there was paper sheets taped to the monitors.( that should've been my first warning of the ghetto experience I was about to recieve.) When I pushed the red button I did not get any acknowledgement what's so ever. The only indication that I pushed the button was from the monitor telling me the button has been activated. I waited about 15 mins still with no acknowledgement. Finally a employee strangly walked up to my car and asked what did I order? I told him I haven't been able to order yet. Not saying anything he turns around and walks away. Thinking back I wish I would've done the samething,walk away. I then decide to pull out and go through the drive through. I figure there maybe I'll atleast get acknowledge. I go the drive thru and make my order, a Biggie cheese burger with bacon. Once I get to the window the lady takes my money. Soon after that then same guy that came to my car earlier hands me my food he recognizes me and yells back "HEY THIS IS THE SAME GUY THAT WAS AT THE STALL! AW MAN YALL DID HIM WRONG! " He says in a laughing matter. I feel as though this was very unprofessional and did not make me feel any better about the situation at hand. So I pull off into a stall to check my food. The burger I pulled out felt hard at first touch. Once I opened it ,what I got was a cold feeling sandwich. The bread was not warmed it was cold and hard. (as though they were taking short cuts not cooking or warming the bread , just to push the orders out a bit faster.) Of course I had to get out my vehicle and take the burger back because not only was it not cooked andn it wasn't even the burger I ordered. I saw the female employee and told her the problem. She sighs and just takes the burger out my hand ,not even atleast apologizing for the inconvenience or anything. She walks in the establishment yelling that there has been another mixed up. From my understanding I'm guessing this has been happening all night. Shortly after the same guy from eariler returns with my burger and asks "is this yours" ? I take it also explaining to him that it was order with bacon...he shrugs and stares off...I check the burger and of course it didnt have the bacon I order but at this point I just wanted to leave . I'm a uber driver and I just wanted to make a quick stop for a burger and I've already spent way too much time here. Also with futher inspection the burger was also cold ,the bread was not warmed,the sandwich its self was sloppy and greasy, the cheese was still cold and was not melted ,it even still had its square orginal form. ( it made me feel nauseated, I didn't even finish it) don't normally make reviews but I had to share my horrible experience. Read moreAs a previously passionate sonic worker myself, here is my serious evaluation. I arrived on a Wednesday at 10pm.
The lot was packed and the few stalls that were open were broken. It takes less than a minute to put an out of order sign in on the screen or stick an object like a trash can in the drive in slot.
I insist on a slot because I want to tip the carhop directly in cash. I finally found one.
I wanted to try the new bbq tots.. when I ordered, the lady shouted "WHAT ELSE" at me. I concluded my order with just a small tot. She quickly picked up the drive thru speaker which I heard her yelling at the customer with an attitude to clarify their order.
5 mins after placing my order, the screen confirmed Latori was on the way with my food.
Here I sit 15 minutes after I've ordered until I receive my small tot. Not sure if it was the name on my screen or not. But the young man apologized for the wait.
It was warm. But certainly not fresh from the frier. It was probably scanned for and sat under a heat lamp for the majority of the time.
Not to mention the price being 3.56 When the menu price for a small tot is 1.99. [Edit] upon reviewing the recipt they rung me up for a medium instead. The menu photo shows seasoned tots. I got sauced tots. They were absolutely swimming in grease. Other than my arteries closing, the taste was actually decent.
Sonic has a method of forcing carhops to scan for orders before they are ready and take food out at random to achieve company regulations for time requirements.
The franchise owner will receive penalty for not meeting the time requirements on the machine or maintaining a customer review.
Because of this major loophole flaw, sonic let's carhops and customers down. For a decent pay (carhops are paid 4 dollars an hour). For decent food for the customers. It's a shame. As long as I spent waiting. I will be on the...
Read moreThe strawberry limeade slush is a no from me dawg.
The large slush was about 85% of the thick strawberry limeade syrup that goes into and supposed to be mixed into the slush. It is like that filled most of the cup with the syrup on purpose, and then put a small squirt of slush on top (wasn't even mixed). It was the nastiest strawberry limeade slush I had ever had.
The whole interaction was kind of strange, which makes me think this was a purposeful sabotage on my drink. I was the only person in the drive through, only 2 cars at the stalls which had their food, yet it took 3-4 minutes waiting at the window to receive a coke and strawberry limeade slush. Which if you think about it, is kind of a long time to wait for drinks. I didn't see the workers for a while during that time period. That is why I am thinking my drink was purposefully made wrong. Additionally, before they made my drink, that said their printer paper was out and they couldn't give me a receipt, which was not a big deal. But thinking about it, now there is no way to trace my order back to them. The employees were not rude, but the whole experience is strange in hindsight.
After about 30 minutes of taking a few sips of the drink I felt very very strange. As though some nefarious substance was added to the drink. This has not been confirmed yet, but I am having a lab test the drink to confirm this.
I will issue a warning to anyone going to this restaurant. Be careful and inspect your food after you receive it. I think the young employees are messing...
