Review edit: Got an email for a reward for a free rib dinner with the purchase of one rib dinner. Now, I'm not dumb and I understand food photography, but the ribs in that ad in the email are nothing like I have ever seen when I go to the restaurant. I'm going to print out that ad and show them that's what I want. We'll see what management does as I'm rather certain they have rarely had a customer show them their own ad and ask for something similar to be served. This is the only way to hold these places accountable. I actually saw that Burger King had a lawsuit recently for showing a larger Whopper burger than they actually serve...unsure if they won, lost or settled, etc....
In this day with beef prices what they are and all the regulation "taxes" restaurants pay to make gov't happy, they have to charge exorbitant prices to just make a profit....they should at least serve food that's like what their ads show.
Why 3 stars? Because their ribs quality, which can be quite tasty, depends on who is cutting the ribs and the "bedside manner" of the guy making the cut isn't too happy when you ask him to cut the ribs from the middle, or you ask them to "please don't give me the overcooked, dry end of the rib rack" because of course they charge you the same whether the ribs are fresh from the smoker, or been under the heat lamp for hours.
Now, on a positive note, they have the best white meat on their BBQ chicken I have ever had. Super moist and ALWAYS the same quality. Ugh....wish they were as good with their ribs because when they get the ribs right, they are very good.
For the first time ever, had their moist brisket and that is potentially another area of inconsistency, but fairly, this was my first time, so no runrate is determine on that yet, but it was really good. I get moist because I want the fatty taste from the tip vs the flat of the brisket. I hope next time it is as good.
Anyways, please do something about getting the rib quality consistent as well as helping the meat cutter be more user friendly with folks paying a lot for your food; if we have a better experience next time, I'll alter this review. We plan to go back once more and try it, but unfortunately, because of this quality inconsistency, Spring Creek isn't our top of the list BBQ...
Read moreHorrible experience, bad customer service and cold food. I Came in tonight, for what was supposed to be a nice barbecue dinner with my husband and baby. Walking in a employee automatically commented on my shirt and asked me “since when have I’ve been listening to the band?” I honestly thought he was trying to have a quick convo about what song I like? or something but turns out he was just poser checking me lol then we walked to some other guy who asked “what did we like to order” and we asked for a chop beef sandwich, brisket and a potato. This was our first time here, I had order before from Door Dash, after he gave us our food he just walked off and we stud there pretty confused because nobody was telling us what to do or how the restaurant works and the employees looked at us but nobody offered to help us, turns out you have to self serve your self and there were only a few things out to choose from like potato salad, beans and macaroni and cheese but it all looked very old. We get to the soda section we noticed no cups we asked the lady “can we please have some cups?” and she pointed towards the top of the soda machine where there were 2 cups that were full of melted ice and and water stains. We automatically asked for to go cups. In conclusion our night was ruined and we just decided to go home the food was cold and the potato salad tasted spoiled, we didn’t even take that home we just took the cold soggy sandwich and the potato. It was such a failure of a night. We did not ask to speak to a manager because we didn’t want to be a statistic of a young Hispanic couple trying to get a free meal. The food went to waste $35 spend on nothing but cold nasty food, the only thing hot here were the roles. Anyways just save your money. I wished I would have just took the long drive and gone to Papa’s...
Read moreThis is my third time in one week to eat at this location because I’m on a carnivore diet. I fell in love with the chicken. I also spoke to the manager one other time who was super sweet, but not tonight, she had a sour look on her face. I asked her if she remembered me and she said yes, from the other day, they had a ton of chicken on the cutting board. I drove miles to come and get the dark meat, part of the chicken and some ribs. They suddenly scooped up all that chicken right before my eyes, put it in a pan and took it to the back after I had said, I wanted chicken they did that right in front of me. I asked them why couldn’t you’ve saved me a piece of chicken and they said oh because it’s already been sold and it was only 6 o’clock and they said they had no more chicken left . now here’s the deal, 10 pieces of that chicken was on the cutting board and they scooped it all away and took it to the back. I asked the manager why didn’t she just let me have some chicken? Why didn’t she serve the customers in the store some chicken anyway it was too bad attitude. It’s no more left for tonight, that is ridiculous to take that chicken off of the cutting board and go take it to the back and save it for a phone in order that is dirty and that is filthy. I don’t recommend this place I don’t like management go to another location that food is awesome. The guy cutting the food has a loudmouth and an obnoxious attitude and got nasty with me. He said how many ribs do you want? I said two, and then I said no wait, make that three and he slams the knife down as hard as he could on the board , gave me a dirty look, then proceeded to cut the ribs. Their attitude...
