RAW MEAT!!! Have eaten here many times and actually previously wrote a positive review. On Saturday I ordered takeout for the first time and one of the orders had completely raw meat, unwrapped and room temperature. I called in and there was no manager on duty. Finally got a call from a manager today who didn't own the mistake at all - tried to tell me some story about how the meat is served raw in some to go orders in broth dishes because some customers have complained about the meat being overcooked. At very best it is terrible form to serve raw meat without indicating that the customer will need the means to cook it. At worst it is a massive food safety violation to have unwrapped & uncooked meat touching other food. I would think that food poisoning would be a bigger concern that overcooking. Last of all, both when I called in and when the manager called me, they really danced around comping the meal, which is the first and obvious thing that should have been done. I didn't demand it because I wanted them to know that I wasn't just trying to get a free meal or even $10 off out of an $80 takeout bill...but the point is they were more concerned with not comping 10 bucks than they were about the raw meat and angry customer situation. They ended up not comping it, BTW. It's too bad because in fairness the food has always been excellent, but let's be real - they forgot to cook the meat. Apologize, comp the meal, be more careful - life goes on...but if they are going to be this careless (and bold about it) with one thing, you know there is not a ton of care put into food safety and I'm not going to risk throwing up for 3 days.

I’ve been coming here for over a decade+ and it’s my go to for Vietnamese in NW Houston. Service is always friendly and quick; the food is fresh, delicious and consistent. The MUST order dish … the Chả Giò (fried egg rolls). Made the old school way with a rice paper (bánh tráng) wrapper, containing a wonderful, addictive & balanced filling showcased in a crispy, blistered exterior - just phenomenal! Comes with a plate full of fresh green leaf lettuce, pickled carrots, cucumber slivers and cilantro sprigs… just be careful biting into these when they come out because they are nuclear hot (temp) on the inside. And because I’m also addicted to the Shrimp & Pork Spring Rolls (Gỏi Cuốn), I get these every time also. Loaded with shrimp, strips of pork, lettuce and the good kind of vermicelli, these offer a great flavor combo and chewiness satisfaction. Entree wise, I usually go for the Pho or a hot vermicelli dish. The Pho here is great - hearty, plentiful and overall delicious. The broth stands on its own; well-developed and a great balance of flavors.. it’d be a shame to douse it with sriracha and hoisin. Another generous fresh plate of veggies is coupled with your bowl of Pho to accentuate and elevate your experience - bean sprouts, jalapenos, cilantro, thai basil and a wedge of lime. Please visit Pho Thanh Long!

If you're looking for the best pho in Houston, look no further than Pho Than Long. This place truly stands out among the competition, and once you've tried it, you'll keep coming back for more. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted by polite and accommodating staff who are eager to make your experience a memorable one. But it's not just the service that sets Pho Than Long apart. The pho itself is simply incredible. The broth is rich and flavorful, with just the right balance of herbs and spices. The noodles are cooked to perfection, and the meat is always tender and juicy. Whether you're a pho connoisseur or a first-time visitor, you're sure to be blown away by the quality of the food here. In addition to the excellent pho, Pho Than Long offers a variety of other dishes that are just as delicious. From the crispy egg rolls to the flavorful banh mi, there's something for everyone on the menu. And with prices that are more than reasonable, you won't break the bank by indulging in a meal here. All in all, if you're looking for the best pho and Vietnamese cuisine in Houston, you can't go wrong with Pho Than Long. The quality of the food, combined with the excellent service and affordable prices, make this place a must-visit for anyone who loves good food.

me, my mom and my husband went in for a dinner literally 1 hour before they are closed, at the time they don’t even have that many customers, we requested to sit at the bigger table so we have more room to eat because my husband is kinda big guy, however the waitress had the nerve to say no and sat us at a small table on the left corner next to the restroom( really?) I am 5 month pregnant and I have to hop my belly in to sit at a small table when they have like 6 big tables empty? Then 2 minutes after another family with 3 came in after us and she sat them at the big table! Is that how it is supposed to work here? Is it because we are oriental that we have to sit at the small corner to reserve bigger tables for other better people? I normally don’t complain at all but this is very rude of her. My husband knew the owner. We ordered togo and spent a lot of money here weekly for my job and this is how I got treated? I was so upset, I left to sit in my car and not ordered any food tonight even I am very hungry but I didn’t want to make it awkward for my mom and my husband so I just left quietly. I hope this waitress change her attitude and better customer service. If you don’t like yout job, find something else that you are compassionate to do and do your job from the heart and not judging people from the outside. We might look bad because we are tired after a long day but we come here to spend money on your business that paid you and tipped you! Have a...
