Disappointed in flooring department. Normally I have had generally good experiences at every Home Depot or Lowes ever. It is always amazing that most of the staff know where everything is located. Sadly, I cannot say I am satisfied with my recent experience with the flooring department. I asked for carpet for 2 office rooms. I had to pay $35 for measurements, didn't show up on the day they were supposed to, after rescheduling for another day (b/c they didn't show the first time), they didn't show at the agreed upon time, after waiting an hour for Tom (the measurer), called, got attitude, saying he had more appts added to his schedule, would be there in 2 more hours, then didn't show the second time that day. at the end of the day, gave us more attitude, and said they would be there right away, which was not acceptable since we already wasted a second day waiting for someone. After complaining 2nd time in person we got a bunch of excuses in person from flooring team. Manager on shift really didn't know how anything worked. next day they called like supposed to, sent a different person, spent maybe 5 minutes "measuring." end of the day they couldn't provide any info about price. said they had to send it to someone in another part of the country to "design" taking into consideration the size of the room, the doors, the windows, the orientation to the earth, the rise and fall of the sun, the foot traffic patterns, matching the material patterns and how to match up pieces, etc. OMG. They acted like they would have it designed by an engineer and a master artist!!! I doubt it. Finally next day got the quote. ~$1,450 for 240 SF of medium grade commercial carpet. They said last year would take a week and a half for material to arrive, now who knows, weeks, months? then after it arrived they would have to see when someone could actually install it...weeks or months later. still would have to buy my own trim on top of that. I just walked away at that point. smartest choice yet in dealing with them. First carpet place I called, came out 2 day later on spot, measured, brought samples to me on site, materials ordered. arrive in 3 days, install day after that. half the price, better quality product, and none of the attitude. Not even worth trying to argue for getting refund of $35 measuring fee. very disappointed in whole Home Depot experience this time. Very atypical of my past 20 years of great experiences. I will never consider using their installers or labor for any product again. The community is more competitive with service, pricing, installation,...
Read moreHello my name is Alma Martinez and I am writing this feedback from my daughters account to urgently advise Home Depot that the employees that they are hiring are making the company not only look bad but making them lose customers I had bought on of those big lawnmowers for my yard and when I bought it and started using it that very day I noticed that their was a noise to it but did not pay attention to it until my husband told me about it then we decided that we should return it but I have been very busy with work that I decided to return it yesterday but when my husband with my son went to go return it but was denied since the employees said that they cannot accept it but when I called the manager Alma she said that they were able to accept it as long as it fell between the 30 day return which it was so she said to come back which we did today and when my husband and son went to the store today they were treated horribly by an employee named Denise she decided that instead of accept the lawnmower she would rather decide it was best to ignore my husband and son and treat them as if they were trying to steal and she stated that it wasn’t her problem and she was being basically profiling my husband and son which they felt offended and they said she had shown signs of racism to them this situation had gotten out of hand that even another customer had to argue with her same with the store manager they were stating that the lawnmower had looked as if it had been worn out for 10 years which was very rude considering I had just bought it and if they had a decent amount of knowledge they would know that cutting acreage causes that since my home has acreage. But in all honesty until the employees become more self aware and knowledgeable about both customers and their race and the policies of Home Depot I will now start shopping at Lowe’s since I am treated with human decency there . The employee Alma was a lot of help but sadly Denise was saying that Alma had to pay it back out of her own pocket which does not seem fair but rather a threat and to think Home Depot would go as far as to rob their employees of their check I am very disappointed and hope that this issue will be resolved and be...
Read moreI have a slightly mixed review about my experiences at home Depot the other day while ordering online was incredibly easy and the text pick up came through my phone promptly and the customer service people were highly professional and very friendly amazing given the rush even during a pandemic; my annoyance came in that I was notified I could pick up my item curbside. Okay I drive to the store I park in the spot and I hit the link in my text and it takes me to a screen on home depot's website for the app. I don't want the app there are way too many apps on my phone I don't want another one there's no information about curbside pickup or any information that says in order to participate in curbside pickup you must install the app. I decide to text the number on the sign which then prompts you with "Welcome to Home Depot! Check in for curbside pickup here" and give the same url from the text I originally received. So I download the app. See my order select the curbside pickup button, only to have it tell me that pick up is unavailable right now to please come back at 6:00 a.m. tomorrow. It's 3:00 p.m. and all the cars around me are picking up items so I know pick up is still available I close at the app try again still can't pick up my item I turn off my phone reload the app still going to go so I have to go in. The main reason I ordered it online instead of going to the store was because of the curbside option it was frustrating that I had to go inside wait in line to pick up my items this was what I was trying to avoid in the first place I don't blame the store itself since the problem seemed to be with the app and the overall way that home Depot has chosen to handle curbside pickup which is slightly different than other vendors and much less layman friendly because while it may be great for someone who shops there on a regular basis one of the main reasons I didn't want to install the app is I may purchase stuff at home Depot 20 or 30 times a year I don't want to give up app space for a 20 or 30 times a year purchase just so I can pick up items from my car. so while this may be great for someone who shops are on a regular basis and it may work for them it was not...
