I am a frequent customer (2x + a week) of this particular location in Meyerland Plaza. I love Starbucks in general, and I also never write reviews, nor complain.
HOWEVER, there is a particular barista at this location named Christine (I believe. She's white, arm tattoos, dirty blonde/light brown hair.) that has literally ruined my day so many times that I need to say something.
First of all, she refuses to: smile ( or fake one ), say hello, acknowledge the customer, and most importantly, she will OUTRIGHT OFFEND / MOCK / DISRESPECT CUSTOMERS.
Personally my experiences : I have social anxiety, so it takes me maybe a few seconds extra to say my order. Sometimes I stumble over a word. She will huff, roll her eyes, and snap at me and my daughter. We've added an extra bakery item at the end of the order, and she's just walked away angrily ??! I do not understand why spending more at an establishment would be a bad thing. I do not know what I personally have done wrong. I cannot help my disability. I'm trying, ya know.
I've heard her repeat people's questions in a mocking manner. I've seen her yell at people. Talk down to them. Huff and storm off.
No one is perfect, everyone has bad days. At first I thought it was an off-day. But this is EVERY SINGLE DAY. I don't understand why she has a job so customer-service based. I don't know why she still has this job. Does she need a friend? A hug? I mean, life sucks for me too. But I am still kind.
I can't order from here if she's at the counter. I don't want her to lose her job, but can someone please talk to her about at least not being terrible. Help her out in some way....
