Subway — Restaurant in Houston

Absolutely horrible experience. Cashier was extremely rude, smart mouth (sassy), negative attitude. The woman had the nerve to disrespect me & my son for NO reason!! Stay away from this location. Horrible, awful customer service.

The lady prepping out sandwiches was nice. I told the lady we wanted two chocolate chip and two macadamian cookies along with drinks. Then, the other rude lady stepped in and took over at the register. She said, "The footlongs don't come with cookies and a drink.". I said, " I know, I want to make them both meals with cookies and a drink. We wanted two chocolate chip cookies and two macadamian cookies.". She loudly and snidely said, "I HEARD you the first time! Then, she asked, "You wanted oatmeal?" I answered, " I thought you said, 'I HEARD you the first time!'. If you did, then you should already know.". She answered, "I did. But, you were talking about some other stuff!"

Really?

The lady asked, "What size drink you want?" I pointed to the $3 sign and read it off to her. Once again, she asked, "What size drink?" I said, "The sign says small." I turned to my son and said, "Oh, no. We won't be coming back here again." She said, " I really don't give a F* if you come here again." I told her, "Nevermind. Keep it! Keep your food. I'm not paying to be disrespected." I removed my card from the card reader mid transaction and left.

Update: The owner called me and asked about the situation. I told him the above story. He apologized for my mistreatment and said he would take care...

Avoid this location today. 7/20/25. The lady working the counter is in a foul mood. Based on the phone conversation she was having with someone, we could hear her complaining about someone being fired and she had to open the store. She told us to hold, while she went to the back to continue her phone conversation. I decided to kindly allowed her time finish her phone conversation, that was apparently more important than customers, and ordered through the app. I accidentally forgot to request my sandwich toasted and let her know. I recieved a smirk. I also saw her placing lettuce & tomatoes on my sandwich and apologized and asked for them to be removed. For that I recieved rolled eyes and a dissatisfied nod. I was having a really bad day too, but never did I treat her rude or with disrespect. I understand she is at work when she doesn't want to be, but that isn't my fault one of her friends got fired and now she was asked to go in. 1. Customer service was really bad today. 2. That phone call should have waited for a time where customers couldn't hear the conversation or hear her complain. I hope her day gets better.. Please don't go in if you don't want to and then be rude to customers. Remember, you agreed to SHOW UP. So provide, at the least, decent customer service, or dont GO in. My two cents. It's March 27,2025 11:00am and the doors or locked during business hours. I called to see if the were open because I didn't see anyone in the business and was told to ring the doorbell. I found that odd since I been there and never rang a bell before at any subway I ever visited. I went back in and soon as I walked through the door I was attacked by a rude young lady who snarled "Reading is fundamental Sir!" I replied very calmly I was thrown off because I never been to a subway that was locked during business hours. She stared coldly and blankly at me as her coworker cosign her comment and said ha ha it is on the door. Imagine feeling attack by 2 subway employees. I gave them an opportunity to think about what was happening and they didn't get what they were doing is wrong and normal grown people working in fast food shouldn't insult the intelligence of other adults esp. paying customers. I saw similar issues occur at this location. The staff needs to be retrained or replaced. I believe this place is franchised and hire mostly rude black women who are angry at the world.
