Sultan Pepper (Halal) — Restaurant in Houston

I've been to this Mediterranean restaurant several times over the last couple of years and I've never been disappointed. The food is always fresh and tasty, and the service has always been prompt and pleasant. It's located just a couple of blocks from my office building, in the downtown Houston tunnel system, so it's a great "grab and go" lunch option. I typically get the "Sultan Platter" which has the perfect amount of rice, veggies, and Chicken Shawarma, for a satisfying lunch. I’ve eaten here about half a dozen times and had great experiences nearly universally except for the time we had a 20 minute wait on my colleague’s sandwich and dozens of people walked past us as we waited.. though it was a very busy day with a long line.

All that to say, the food is delicious, lots of healthy options, the line gets long because it is indeed good! Excellent! I ordered the "one meat two sides" dish for lunch and was NOT disappointed. I chose the chicken kabob, which was very tender, juicy and flavorful. For sides, I got tabuli and the "rainbow quinoa" salad, both very good. Generous portions. It was hard to choose, though, because everything looked so fresh and tasty.
