They've done a great job here of utilizing an old building with tight space. The one star missing here is sadly just for the discomforts inherent in the things they can't entirely help without compromising their airy, hip ambiance - BUT - there are true downsides and you should be aware of them before booking here, especially if you're a family looking for a suite.

The valet service was horrible. they parked my car in the entry area and put a valet sign blocking my car in. The valet driver was rude and impatient, I explained that I was not going to use valet however if he could direct me to where I can park until I was ready to check in. I wanted to check into valet after my event. He said you need to give me the keys let me drive you to a spot and you can go into the hotel doors. I'll put your car there and he pointed at an open spot. I hopped out and said not necessary, I went inside, he hopped into my car and my children who were in the backseat explained to me that he told them he was simply moving my car. I got my hotel key and came back. He was in my driver seat and handed me my keys. He had parked my car in front of the entrance spot. I unloaded my bags and went to my room to change. When I returned we were blocked in and unable to get into my vehicle. I had to use uber because I was unable to access my car. Terrible experience. In checking out my daughter left her Coach bag in the room. Immediately when we noticed I called the hotel. They said that the manager for house keeping would call me. I never received any calls. I called several times and was told that I would get a call back. On Monday I called and spoke to the front desk receptionist again and asked her what happened with my bag. She explained that she doesn't think anything was turned in. i asked what is next I am 100% sure the bag was left in the room. She said she would email me docs on filing a claim. I checked my email over and over, noth6. I called back FOR THE 100TH TIME, 2 days after, checking out and finally got someone named Tara that was somewhat helpful. She explained that they didn't find the bag however she was going to have the manager call me. I am still waiting for that call, no resolution yet. 4 DAYS LATER STILL NOTHING.
