Tranquillity Park — Attraction in Houston

I like tranquility park alot. I like the whole area of this place and all along the buffalo bayou. This place is great and is for everyone. Even though Hurricane Harvey did what it did the city shall do what it has to to take care of it and to make sure it stays nice and beautiful. The young and old can enjoy everything from walks to jogging and bike riding. Many walk their pets... I used to work temporarily for the buffalo bayou partnership as a temp worker from Pacesetter and many of us went to clean up after Harvey. In all that I really enjoyed the work and loved the riding around looking for areas to clean up. Many of us never forget the scenes all along the tranquility park and beyond. The trees,hilly side walks, and really friendly people everywhere who waved at us and just smiled while we from pace waved back. Lots of birds, butterflies, a rabbit also, and more. You just never know on a very nice morning or early evening what you might see...Thank God for places like this among all the...

I was born in Houston in ‘76. Been visiting Tranquility on and off that while time.

This park used to be beautiful, functional, welcoming, and beneficial.

Now..it’s dilapidated, it’s welcoming features removed, there’s the constant stench of fecal matter, constant theft risks, addicts, alcoholism, and all manner of vagrancy.

The flowers have long since died. The trees are not maintained. Erosion is everywhere. The gardens and landscaping have been wrecked.

There are no families, picnics, office workers, or festivals here anymore. No one comes to exercise here anymore. Dates would be looney to come here expecting romance.

I really enjoy tranquillity park. I like the whole environment around here and along the Buffalo Bayou. This location is fantastic and suitable for everyone. Despite what Hurricane Harvey did, the city will do whatever it takes to care for it and keep it looking lovely and beautiful. Walking, jogging, and biking are all activities that both young and old can enjoy. Many people walk their dogs... As a temp worker from Pacesetter, I used to work with the Buffalo Bayou Partnership, and several of us went to help clean up after Harvey. Overall, I appreciated the task and the travelling around looking for locations...
